Ok, thank you so much!
I guess my main question right now is how did your dad feel being in a completely different culture? What was the culture shock like and how did he view this new place as an American?
Is there a reason why you want to set the story in Africa? Maybe you just want a fresh but still realistic setting,…

Good morning, fellow bloggers. It’s been a loooooong time.
Question for you,
My blog site that I use now (strikingly.com) keeps crashing or not loading for the posts. I’m 68 posts into it.What do you recommend for a free, ad-free site? (I’m not a fan of ads popping up and either being inappropriate or just annoyingly in the way of the words.)…[Read more]

The main thing I’d say is that wars usually don’t only start for one reason, and people also don’t join wars all for the same reason. Sorry, I know that’s probably not very helpful 😅 this isn’t a topic I’m very good on.
I like your idea and I hope plotting and stuff goes well! Good luck!

(tired me first tried to sign in with your tag and then almost tagged you @kingorange 🤦♀️)
From the answers, people are guessing that in episode 39 (answer to clue 1) will focus on Red and Blue (answer to clue 2), will have something to do with a creeper (answer clue 3, this one is the hardest and I would not have figured it…

I haven’t tried to solve them yet. Did you?
Also, are you familiar with where King ended up at the end?
The farlands, right?

I would personally love to see you write a book set in Africa. It’s a beautiful place with a rich tapestry of cultural history. And research can be broken down into manageable bites. Mountains don’t have to be climbed in a day. 😉

First of all, cultural research?! You have my mostly undivided but prone to rabbit trailing attention. Now, Africa is very big and is as diverse in people groups, religions, climates, and cultures as most other continents. I would get an idea of where you’re sending your charies first to narrow down the scope of what you’re tackling.…[Read more]

I’ll pop in here soon. I’ll be on a fancy meeting trip and surely there will be time to write in between sessions.

*Joins the tackle hug dogpile* Heyoooo. Good to see you around! I think I’ll be at the CS Lewis Fellowship if I remember to sign up. By the way, what’s the concept for your new fantasy? You’ve always talked about historical fiction to my knowledge, so this is an intriguing direction. I may have already heard about it but I…[Read more]

Is there a reason why you want to set the story in Africa? Maybe you just want a fresh but still realistic setting, and if so, that’s fair.
I’ve never been to Africa, but I have a friend my age who travels the world almost nomadically with her family. She’s definitely been there! And she is an avid writer. So I can contact her with…[Read more]

Hey guyssss 👋🏻 I need help!
So there’s this story that I’m dying to write, or at least start plotting and such. But I’m hesitant to go ahead with it… and that’s because it takes place in a completely different place and culture that I’ve never had experience with…at all.
It happens in Africa.
Now granted, I’m writing from the POVs of America…[Read more]

Hi!! Good to see you’re still alive. XP
You’re joining the C. S. Lewis writing Fellowship too? Lovely. I have no clue what it’s going to be like. Just hoping it’ll work out around life, ya know. As I’m currently writing this while sitting in the corner of the Math and Science building waiting for class to start…[Read more]

Wow, you’ve put a ton of work into that. it looks like a real working website.
It honestly looks a lot like the Parf Edhellen website, just a lot easier to navigate (at least for a snooper like me who doesn’t have an account for ParfEd and just cares about the dictionary). I like it.
As much as I hope KP gets fixed, I do so…[Read more]
