@linus-smallprint You’re welcome! I liked that specific idea too.

You think we should have it in another topic? I’ll go ahead and make one….

@linus-smallprint

Yep! And of course I will still stress the fact that this doesn’t mean that we can sit and do nothing, for faith without works is not faith at all, James 2. God has indeed foreordained us with sacred roles to serve in this life, though personally I believe that it is our choice to live up to that or not, Matthew 22:14, as I’m…[Read more]

Heya people, bringing back this thread. 🙃

Can anyone think of times in fiction/whatever where police officers, government…[Read more]

KP deleted my post😭😭😭

Ok, here we go again.

Maybe, I do like nature as well though, so the country that this story takes place in has mountains to the west and praries to the east with forests in the middle. Trees are common in their cities. The capital, Pryde, has a river valley with paths that connect all the way through the…

@linus-smallprint I have IDEAS!!

Since the predominant race besides humans in most of my story universes is a dragonlike one, I like the idea (and the horse one is cool too, I’d use it)! I have two different dragon concepts for you, I’ll share them in a bit.

• For South or Central America, would a parrotlike race work? They could, perhaps, be…

So what you are saying is that if one carries out Christ-like behaviour, he or she will be saved? What if I forget to seek after Him at times, being distracted by something else?  Am I doomed to go to hell if I fail to show Christ-like behaviour and if I fail to love others as much as I can?  You mentioned earlier that Christ s…

What is your answer to these questions? Also, if escargot is not the weirdest food you have tried, then what is?

I have not tried escargot, but I have made some pretty weird cakes. On a ketchup bottle was an advertisement for a ketchup cake recipe, and it looked pretty good, so I made it for my grandfather’s birthday. (Your…[Read more]

“People call me indecisive, but I really am not sure if they are right.”

😂 too relatable

Probably Zeb or Ezra. How about you?

Oooh, that’s hard. Ezra is definitely one of them, and I love Hera… and Kanan… also Kallie (😂 that said Kallus, but spell-check changed it to Kallie. I think I’m going to start calling him that)

For inspiration, I did not want to go to medieval England, so I am digging into the 19th century for inspiration. They do not have electricity yet (they will soon after this trilogy), but they have cameras, locomotives, and plumbing. Style of clothing is a combination of clothing from this era and what is more typical in fantasy.…

@linus-smallprint I just saw your creatures’ pages and they are amazing!! I kinda want to get on that website and make stuff for my creatures now lol.

The kentors sound exactly like something I’d come up with.

what guidelines do you have for coming up with species? I’ll put out a few of my creatures, and you can just get ideas from them I…[Read more]

Hi Linus, even though we’ve met now, I realized that I never properly greeted you to the Forum, so I thought I’d give a late one.

I’m the Arcane Axiom, I enjoy math, searching for divine fundamental truth, and exploring that in my writing. I read/write sci-fi/fantasy, and am currently working on a universe with my sister called…[Read more]

Is there something happening elsewhere that might be distracting the king? Something that seems more important than dealing with rebels?

Well, this whole thing takes place during the Crusade era, so maybe while the Crusades are going on the king is distracted by that and wouldn’t have time to focus on his own country. Thanks for the help!

@linus-smallprint

The main reason why they are beneficial to me is because I write code. Without chatbots, I can spend hours staring at my code trying to figure out why it does not work, but once I give it to AI, the issue is identified in seconds and saves me so much time!

Oh, that’s a good way to use it!

Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so…

I have read Skyward, but only the first two books. Stormlight, I am a little intimidated by. I’ve heard Sanderson himself describing the opening as a wall you have to climb with your fingernails to understand, and when you reach the top, then you will be able to enjoy it. On the other hand, I have read Wheel of Time. Perhaps I w…

Story Thieves by James Riley reminds me of Alcatraz, in the way that the two make fun of writing. I’ll tell you if I think of any more.

@linus-smallprint

By the way, (theducktator, and thearcaneaxiom as well), what books would you recommend to a fan of Tress and Alcatraz?

Hmm, we’ll I’m biased for Sanderson in general, so I’d point to anything from him. Frugal is up the same ally of humor and flair, but you’re already reading that. Have you started Skyward? I think you’d like that…[Read more]

Shifting this discussion is best, so we don’t flood the book review XD

Indeed we do have very different theological and cosmological prospectives. It just bugs me that that needs to be where the identity of us as Christians must be. Yes, theology is important, but what did Christ constantly…
