@theducktator yep your ducks would fit into this category!
@linus-smallprint It depends on the story. I use them throughout several different story universes and their roles are different in each one. Often I use just one species for each story. I do have some set rules for each though:
- Ailurids often have clan-based societies, because I…

@linus-smallprint Personally, I think of that idea a lot too–the concept of Earth being the “first world” God created, and then He created other worlds, and filled those with creatures somehow.
Kinda like Narnia, where Aslan brought humans in from Earth to rule it in The Magician’s Nephew.
Now here’s the question. Was Everwylde always i…[Read more]

Here’s my story. It’s going under major reevaluation right now though, so keep that in mind if you want to read it.

This story is not about overcoming addiction, it is about overcoming sin (you are not the first to mistake it as this). While others do get addicted to magic, loving the power it gives them and how it makes solving their problems easy, my protagonist will never be addicted to magic. Warning, if you want to read my book someday,…

The church I attend is non-denominational, but I would say it is in a group of churches coming out of Grace Community Church that feels very close to becoming their own denomination considering it has things like its own hymnal (Hymns of Grace) and Psalter (Psalms of Grace). I’m not sure what it would be called though. Gracits o…

He is on a quest for redemption, and fears being drawn back in. Towards the beginning, he tries to redeem himself by becoming a hero, but as the story goes on, he instead learns to trust in The Saviour to forgive him and to help him overcome temptations to magic. So it’s a story about redemption, forgiveness, sanctification, a…

Hello! I just created this topic to talk about sentient creatures that aren’t humans. @linus-smallprint this is for you!
also I don’t know who else to tag lol
I have several non-human sentients. Usually they take the place of humans in stories, but in a few stories I have humans and dragons living alongside each other, often with the dragons…[Read more]

@linus-smallprint You’re welcome! I liked that specific idea too.
You think we should have it in another topic? I’ll go ahead and make one….

Yep! And of course I will still stress the fact that this doesn’t mean that we can sit and do nothing, for faith without works is not faith at all, James 2. God has indeed foreordained us with sacred roles to serve in this life, though personally I believe that it is our choice to live up to that or not, Matthew 22:14, as I’m…[Read more]

KP deleted my post😭😭😭
Ok, here we go again.
Maybe, I do like nature as well though, so the country that this story takes place in has mountains to the west and praries to the east with forests in the middle. Trees are common in their cities. The capital, Pryde, has a river valley with paths that connect all the way through the…

@linus-smallprint I have IDEAS!!
Since the predominant race besides humans in most of my story universes is a dragonlike one, I like the idea (and the horse one is cool too, I’d use it)! I have two different dragon concepts for you, I’ll share them in a bit.
- For South or Central America, would a parrotlike race work? They could, perhaps, be…

So what you are saying is that if one carries out Christ-like behaviour, he or she will be saved? What if I forget to seek after Him at times, being distracted by something else? Am I doomed to go to hell if I fail to show Christ-like behaviour and if I fail to love others as much as I can? You mentioned earlier that Christ s…

What is your answer to these questions? Also, if escargot is not the weirdest food you have tried, then what is?
I have not tried escargot, but I have made some pretty weird cakes. On a ketchup bottle was an advertisement for a ketchup cake recipe, and it looked pretty good, so I made it for my grandfather’s birthday. (Your…[Read more]

“People call me indecisive, but I really am not sure if they are right.”
😂 too relatable
Probably Zeb or Ezra. How about you?
Oooh, that’s hard. Ezra is definitely one of them, and I love Hera… and Kanan… also Kallie (😂 that said Kallus, but spell-check changed it to Kallie. I think I’m going to start calling him that)

For inspiration, I did not want to go to medieval England, so I am digging into the 19th century for inspiration. They do not have electricity yet (they will soon after this trilogy), but they have cameras, locomotives, and plumbing. Style of clothing is a combination of clothing from this era and what is more typical in fantasy.…

@linus-smallprint I just saw your creatures’ pages and they are amazing!! I kinda want to get on that website and make stuff for my creatures now lol.
The kentors sound exactly like something I’d come up with.

Is there something happening elsewhere that might be distracting the king? Something that seems more important than dealing with rebels?
Well, this whole thing takes place during the Crusade era, so maybe while the Crusades are going on the king is distracted by that and wouldn’t have time to focus on his own country. Thanks for the help!
