I love how weird you can be in poetry. It’s an expression dear to my heart. I usually do mean something by it all – several things in fact – but there’s great satisfaction in hiding your thoughts in metaphor.
Of course, very few people will understand any of what you say, but hey, that’s part of the fun.
I don’t aspire to be another Longfellow…[Read more]

Incense
I caught it.
It sparkled in my hand.
A star, a jewel, a piece of my heart.
The wind caught it and lit it.
It flashed up in flame.
Eyes widening,
Breath rattling,
I lifted it to the sky.
It burned me.
But even I could see,
It was still kind.
Somehow fire purifies.
Too soon it will extinquish-
You or it-
The heat will eat you…[Read more] -

4 in a a dull old red. It’s a bit tired from looking after it’s little sister 2. It keeps coming up with the stupidest dad jokes.
I don’t particularly like 4, but it’s’s better than 8.

I say go for it. I don’t know if I can join or not, but aybe I can. 2 PM would be easier, but it’s whatever works for everyone. If three is good, then go with that. *drops my two cents on the table*
@mineralizedwritings is 3 PM CT on the 6th a good time? That’s a couple hours earlier than 3 for you, if I remember right. So I’m not…[Read more]

21 just has the paparazzi, doesn’t he?
Also, I find it interesting that nobody rose to defend 23.
I mean, on one side 23 may be nicer than my childhood versions of 3, 7, 8, and 21, but I don’t trust it. I can’t decide if it’s shy or stuck up or seriously up to something.
Numbers can get better though. 8 has grown significantly past the terrible…[Read more]

Oh, I love 4! 4 is a warm red. In color like a brick red like what @whalekeeper said, but it’s not brick. It’s chocolate! Warm and sweet specialty cocoa. Such a cozy, quiet number. One of the few females in the group. 2’s mother, 5’s wife. Great friends with 9, 11, 12, 24, and 45.

*GASP* How doare you speak such things of my second favorite number? 21 may be handsome and a little quirky, but here’s wonderfully stable minded when compared to 46. *shudder* And he’s a satiny turquoisish shadowed blue-black, unless you break him in half, when he becomes an inky black 1 and a pastel yellow 2. *Huffs in high distain*

Congratulations on the full-time jo1 Hope it works out well. Adulting is not totally awful.
I understand about the website. I liked many of the ideas behind the structure, and am glad they are documented at least. It would have been a huge load to haul though.
And like the others said, enough of us have made contact outside of…[Read more]

@whalekeeper @Other7People
By the way, there are two 7s, you know. Twins. One is Angelic, the Number of Perfection. A rosy, divine gold.
The other is a spy. A bit cocky, a bit too intelligent. A silver, metallic but still matte.
And get 7 together with his cousin 8? Ooo. Those two can be trouble, but 8 usually keeps everyone in line. Too close…[Read more]

Excuse me?! 7 is misty gray! Like strider sitting in the corner with a cloak and hood pulled down over his face holding a steaming mug and watching from the shadows.

Ok, I was a part of JWM and have been thinking about joining SSC (totally agree on your version of the acronym, lol), but I was not quite sure I really fit there, or that it would be good for me.
The Biblical terms, like “Outer Court” etc. don’t bother me. I’m enough of a nerd to like them. They emphasize a Biblical foundation which is…[Read more]

I thought the “about us” had a pretty clear statement of faith. Did you read that? If so, and you still think I should add a clearly defined one then I will totally do that! Thanks for the tip!!
personally, I haven’t liked much of what I’ve seen of Story Stewards and have started clear. Some of the reasons were ones you brought up, plus so…[Read more]
