Huntress: We did eventually. For Scout it took a while, a bit longer than me.
I find it funny that your daughter only finds it “gross” and doesn’t feel bad for them, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree I guess!
Scout: She probably would feel a bit sorry for them if it weren’t for the fact that she usually only finds them dead already.
Oop! I probably should have realized… with all the hinting and whatever.
Huntress: Ha!
Scout: Y’know, I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone make that mistake before.
(Sniper stands behind them, his tail lashing in amusement and a smirk on his face, but he doesn’t say anything)
Carrot Cake: “Did someone say fire?!” *Carrot Cake bursts into the room* “Sorry, I thought I heard fire! Oh, who are these weird alien gross looking thingies? They look like my mother-in law! If I had a mother-in law that is… Anyway!”
Huntress: *bursts out laughing*
Scout: What do you mean? I don’t look any different from you!
Sniper: *look of slight offense, as he realizes that the “weird alien thingy” comment was probably mostly directed at him*

*Huntress snickers, Scout gives her an annoyed look*
Wow… That is funny that I asked that! Huh? Are they good parents?
Huntress: Our mother was pretty great, especially since it’s not just us and we have seven older brothers. Our father…..Well, we thought he was a bad dad, since he left us when we were almost too young to remember him. But it turns out, he was mostly trying to protect us, so he gets some points for that.
Do spiders often crawl up you? And if they do, then you are SO lucky! I want more spiders to crawl up me!
Huntress: Only if I’m wandering through the grass or forest.
Scout: Sometimes I have to catch little house spiders and take them out to the porch cause my daughter doesn’t like it when I squish them. She thinks it’s gross.
I think I’ve heard stuff about sniper. Is he a good friend? And where is he from again?
Scout: *snickers* “Is he a good friend.” *points toward Huntress with his thumb* Ask her, she’s married to him.
Huntress: Yeah, I guess you could put it that way. He was born on the planet Staten, but was adopted and raised on Australis. He’s an Argonite, which means he has a tail and claws like a crocodile, can breathe underwater for a while, and great eyesight. And before you ask, no, we don’t have any children.
Oh, I am sorry! I didn’t wanna bring up any sad memories!
Scout: Nahh, it’s fine!
Carrot Cake would never burn something that is alive… Well… yet… that is… She just started out burning cakes… but I think she did burn down her childhood house. She hasn’t told me why. But yeah! She might ignore you though, she only talks to people she finds interesting…
Scout: How am I not interesting?
Huntress: People have different understandings of “interesting,” Scout.

So, what are the common abilities that most changelings get?
Huntress: Well, we’re able to modify the colors and patterns of our skin, but normally we just look like humans. There’s also a bunch of faint stripes on our bodies, that you can best see under a black light.
Scout: Normal Changelings also have forked tongues and eyes like a cat’s, but we don’t have the cat eyes. I have a forked tongue though, see? *sticks it out really far to prove the point and gets weird looks from a bunch of the other characters*
Huntress: I can camouflage, but Scout can’t. He also has much fewer stripes than me. I have a few on the sides of my face, but all of his are hidden under his clothes.
Are your parents alive?
Scout: Oh, yeah! Ma lives nearby me.
Huntress: Our dad’s alive too…..but we thought he was dead for a long time. It’s a long story.
Why do you (Huntress) have a fear of spiders and SPECIFICALLY three inch roaches? If a four inch roach was crawling on you, would you scream or freak out?
Huntress: Well, it’s not specifically three inch roaches. That’s just the biggest we get on Australis. I just don’t like them. They’re too crawly and nasty-looking. And yes, if one was crawling on me, I would definitely freak out. I don’t hate little tiny spiders, but the big ones have TOO. MANY. LEGS. and they’re so nasty when they die and curl up….ugh *shudders*
If you two were stuck in the middle of the jungle, who would you want to be stuck with?
Huntress: That’s funny, I actually have been stuck in the middle of the jungle before, and it was with Sniper. He’s the best kind of person to have in that sort of situation.
Scout: Okay, Huntress is right. With Sniper on our side, we’d make it out of that jungle pretty quickly.
And finally, Scout, you have kids?! How old are they? Who are you married to? (if married at all 😳) and is Huntress a good aunt?
Scout: Yep! Four of them! Two are more human, one’s got Changeling camouflage, and one’s got the wings and tail of an Ornithiform. As for my wife….
Huntress: He’s divorced. Long story. Completely separate from the other long story though.
Scout: But I didn’t let that stop me from giving my kids the best lives they could have despite the situation!
Huntress: Yeah, I suppose.
Scout: Now is Huntress a good aunt? Well, so far she hasn’t given them any weapons yet, so I guess so.
(Oh, and I think Scout and Carrot Cake would get along well XD)
Scout: Carrot Cake is the one who likes fire, right? Ha! She reminds me a bit of Pyro. Just less scary…since we can talk to each other and I can tell her not to burn me…..

they’re probably gonna fight more than answer the questions but whatever
1. What is your full name?
Huntress: Jaylen Rowan Willis-Mundy. [fun fact, I literally gave her a middle name solely for the sake of this. I picked a random female name that sounded cool.]
Scout: Wow, you gotta be all fancy and put his name after yours….
Huntress: What? They asked for the whole thing! Besides, you’ve gotta tell them yours.
Scout: Fine……my name’s Jeremy Willis. You’re not getting any of that middle name junk outta me.
2. What is the most important thing the average person should know about you?
Scout: *opens his mouth to speak*
Huntress: Don’t say it.
Scout: The thing about the grass and the birds and the hurting people? The fact that I’m like a force of nature and that if they were from where we’re from, they’d be freakin’ dead?
Huntress: Yes, that.
Scout: Well what the heck were you gonna say???
Huntress: That we’re twins? Also that I inherited our father’s camouflage ability and you only have the forked tongue?
Scout: Still weirded out about that. I don’t even get the eyes! like, I’d never tell him this, but Spy’s cat slit pupils are cool and I’m kinda mad I didn’t inherit them.
3. What is your body language right now? [Describe them in the interview, sitting/standing, fidgeting, etc.]
Scout: *all the fidgeting, he just wants to be done with the interview and get back home to whatever he was working on*
Huntress: *fidgeting sometimes but also intently studying the room, trying to figure out if there are any sharp things that could be thrown in the event that they get into a fight*
4. How would other people describe you?
Huntress: Scout? Definitely “annoying.”
Scout: Huntress? “More annoying.”
Sniper, in the back: Huntress is a great fighter. She’s also not afraid of crocs. Or snakes. Just spiders and 3-inch-long roaches.
Scout: What about me?
Sniper: My ‘alfway decent brother-in-law, except when you’re worse than the roach.
Scout: WHAT–
(for the sake of time and writing space, I’m not gonna go into the 10 minute argument that came out of that)
5. Where do you live? What is your race/ethnicity?
Scout: Shawmut, in the Systemic Republic. It’s a weird little moon of Lygon. We were born there, and I moved back there after living on the planet Sierra for a while.
Huntress: I live on Australis, in the Argon System, but that’s only after I was married. We’re half-human, half-Changeling, like I mentioned before. Scout got more human in him than I did.
Scout: That genetics thing is weird.
6. What do you contribute to your world?
Scout: *gestures to himself* This.
Huntress: *the most epic eye roll*
7. What kind of struggles do you face in your everyday life?
Huntress: …Not dying? Okay, well, I guess we’re outta the mercenary gig these days so that experience is mostly over. But sometimes we all still feel the effects of it.
Scout: Parenting. Especially when one of them has wings and is always tryna climb on stuff, and another one is just like her aunt and grandpa and loves to camouflage in the STRANGEST PLACES. Seriously, she nearly gave me a heart attack yesterday! [he’s a single dad of four after the end of his story]
8. What motivates you?
Scout: In the past? Impressing our boss. Now……keeping my kids safe.
Huntress: Aww, character development.
Scout: *swats at her to get her to stop*
Huntress: okay, fine, I’ll stop that and answer the question. I was always motivated to keep him safe, as much as he hates to admit it, because he’s my twin and we’re supposed to have each other’s backs. Well, that and I like getting to use my tracking skills. And knives are fun.
AAAAND maybe I’ll stop them here before Huntress says something very out of pocket (like how to kill someone with a fork)
