Ooh. . . sounds interesting! A few questions after reading through your idea so far. . .
- What happened to their dad? Is he playing a part in the story? And if he never really makes it into the scene, do the siblings have any kind of mentor characters?
- What causes these abilities to show themselves right then? Is there…

Ooh, this sounds awesome! <3
I’ll be going with Scarlet for this one, I think.
1. “Just because you left me to die doesn’t mean I did. Hate to break it to you, but not everything revolves around you.”
2. “What if I don’t want to be alone. . . or being with people? What if I’m terrified of being surrounded by people but just as terrified when…[Read more]

Is there a character (from a WIP or a fandom) that you don’t like, but you don’t hate either?
Ohhhh, yes. Plenty. A few that come to mind are Lilah (Tuesdays at the Castle), Ron (Harry Potter), and Atretes (Mark of the Lion series).
Pick a character, from a WIP or a fandom, then say that character is hanging off the edge of a cliff, abo…

Hmmmmm. . . so many people. XD Community is such an important part of writing. . . let’s see if I can summarize it at all.
1. My mom – She’s always been so supportive of my writing, and she does as much as she can to get me connected with various resources/supporting the time I spend writing. . . she’s amazing.
2. My best friend – We’ve both…[Read more]

Hey, writers!
At the moment, I’m re-reading Francine River’s Mark of the Lion series (sooooo good, but research it first since it does deal with some very dark things). And I’m noticing something again – she head hops like crazy.
And states the character’s emotions a ton.
And. . . [insert long list of don’ts as far as writing goes]
But…[Read more]

Not a part of it (yet), but I’ve done a ton of research on it, talked to multiple students who are in it, talked aback and forth with some of their admissions people. . .
And it is fantastic. I’ve heard so many good things about it and am planning on joining in the somewhat near future.
So I’d say, 100%, at least submit an…[Read more]

XD One of my favorite parts when I lived in Europe was getting to see all those traces of the medieval age – castles, fortresses, palaces. . . it was awesome.
Indeed he did.

Hah, those novels can be so stubborn in that regard sometimes. XP Best of luck with this one!
Series, no; novels, yes. I’m planning on writing a duology this year, which will be my first time writing anything that really builds on itself. I’m quite excited for it. 😁

Ooh, sounds awesome! 😍 This idea has a lot of potential. A few thoughts about your story in particular and fantasy in general, if I may. . .
#1: As I read through the descriptions of the countries, the line between light and dark felt a liiiiiitle too sharp. There are definitely times when that can work, and I get that you’re…[Read more]
