I’ve got most of my ideas from titles. Of books within whatever book I’m currently writing.
It all started when in a fan fic I was doing, this character was binging a series called ‘The Prince of WalfKlau.’ One day, I just started wondering what The Prince of WalfKlau was about. And now I have a 5 book series about it😂.
And then, within that, t…[Read more]

*quickly skims all 50-60 story ideas* *looks up sheepishly* *decides not to tell Kathleen that most of her story ideas come from dreams or other books she’s read ’cause that’s too boring*
Oh, yeah, most of my story ideas come from real experiences. Like last week, when I fought a dragon in the backyard. You know. That sort of thing.

“Hello there.”
Nice😁 What type is a Singeprime? Also, you’ve made me super curious about the MandaloreWing now.😄
Also, I think the Stewjon Four-Wing is my favourite type of Star Wars dragon — cause what’s not to like?

The Horse and His Boy is my favourite Narnia book😊.
Yeah, I haven’t learnt the Hebrew letters, but that ‘cha’ sound is really hard to make. Still, I like the feel it gives my language😁. Here’s a sample:
“Ûne li’hatevet Férījinar Sechol.”
(translation: I don’t speak Férījinarian (language))
“Ira? Hûsī hovet Ira?”
(translatio…[Read more]

Thanks! I never knew that, about the early Slav federation. That’s so neat you’re using it in your book!😃

@keilah-h Brothers, am I right?😂 S’fine, my older brother loves to tease me about the name I made up in a Paper Mario fan fic of mine for a technological sphere that could be used like a super computer to destroy every world in the multi-world existence of my story — I called it…
DRUMROLL …
The S.D. Sphere.
Short of self-destruction sphere.…[Read more]

The û? Do you know which culture it comes from? Also, that’s epic you’re learning Hebrew!😃 I watched some beginners’ videos to learn the structure — in terms of it being an SVO language, like English. Unlike my main kingdom’s language, which is an SOV language, like Japanese.
I like the mix of cultures you’re using for Eirtan!…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 Lol.😂 Yeah, I always spoil everything to both my little sister, my big sister, and my big brother — and then pester them with feedback on any new plot developments I’ve thought of.😂

@anatra23 Yes, I’m doing a round of beta reading for it now, and then I’ll probably do another couple of editing passes, maybe one more round of beta readers, before trying to pitch it to agents. It’s 180k words, though, so I’m gonna have to be creative and precise in order to sell them on it — YA fantasy isn’t normally that longὠ…[Read more]

Hi, @e-p-writes !
I’m Tráhia the Minstrel, and I think your goal is really cool! I’m glad to be the first person to welcome you to the Kingdom, especially since I only joined super recently myself 😊.
I also write YA fantasy with the hopes of shining God’s light into a genre that is mostly dark. I want clean reads for kids because as a homesc…[Read more]

@anatra23 Thanks! Tbh, I didn’t really think about it much, I just made up the names lol😂 But when I was trying to figure out how to spell the names, I was listening to my older sister (who’s a linguist) talking about International Phonetic Alphabet’s pronunciation. She said in that, the vowel I generally makes an ‘ee’ sou…[Read more]

Hi @joy-caroline !
My book series is meant to be five books, but I hope that my advice can be helpful. The series as a whole is a huge overarching story, and the problem I set up in the first book (who will become the next king of my kingdom, and who is worthy to be said king) won’t be concluded until the end of the series. But each book has it…[Read more]

Thanks! @koshka
I make up my names, but based them on Spanish and Japanese pronunciation (the only two languages I’ve ever studied.) As a result, here’s a short list of some of my characters’ names:
Salvárdé, Méyárco, Iéto, Mérar, Shinarvé, Zarvéna, Yáléa, Lína, Riézon.
I use the Spanish rule that any time there’s an é with the flick over it, i…[Read more]
