@Celticcailin heyy so yes I do songwriting and composition and play half a dozen musical instruments and study musical theory. If you want me to check out lyrics and/or melody or whatever, feel free to add me to the email. 😉 I’d have to look over the song before I could give you much useful feedback though.…[Read more]

@annaberens Thank you! I am on Facebook 🙂
@ariel-ashira I don’t feel comfortable posting my songs for a lot of people, but if there was a way I could email them to you? @daughteroftheking @sam-kowal @jess-penrose
Also, thank you for all your advice! I will try it and we shall see what happens!:)

@jess-penrose Good luck on your class! And congratulations on the words you got in. Unfortunately, I can’t banish this distraction. I’m currently in a hotel room with other people. The best I’ve got is my back is to the tv and my earbuds are on high (not devastatingly high). 🙂

@jess-penrose Thanks! For the most part it’s coming along nicely. Of course, it’s a little hard to write with the tv on in the room. 🙂

@jess-penrose It’s about a girl who loses her family when she’s six. After ten years of living as a thief she gets caught stealing from the royal family, a crime punishable by death. However, they give her the option of becoming the queen’s handmaiden or execution. The problem, she blames the royal family for the death of her family and hates them…[Read more]

Bye 🙂
@jess-penrose that’s really cool! I can’t even play an instrument, let alone compose music but it sounds like an amazing skill!
(Oh yes, I love Banjo. Henry Lawson not so much, but Banjo is awesome! What’s your favourite poem?)
I have to go now 🙂

@jess-penrose Hello! Cool! What kind of music do you compose? My brother is a classical style composer.
Seekjustice recommended that I read poetry by Banjo Patterson and Henry Lawson. 🙂
@seekjustice I’m going to get off now, and I guess you won’t be here when I get back. Jess, I might be back in about an hour for a little bit if you’re sti…[Read more]

@seekjustice @jess-penrose Well, I’m back! Are either of you Australians around? Because I’m afraid most of the other Americans have gone to bed by now… 😛
SeekJustice, I finished A Little Bush Maid this morning, and got so into it that I had read half of the second book, Mates at Billabong, all at once before I realized how far I had got…[Read more]

@jess-penrose Sorry! I didn’t see your post since you didn’t tag me, and you might have left by now. But that sounds extremely interesting! 🙂 I love sci-fi, though I prefer more realistic sci-fi than the near-fantasy you have there. But your story does sound pretty cool.
@seekjustice Okay, I’ll go to bed. 😀 😛 See you tomorrow, I hope!

I have to disappear now, but I’ll try to compile a list of my favourite Aussie his-fics for you 🙂
@jess-penrose do you read historical? Do you have any Aussie recommendations for Rochellaine?

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #15 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 2 months ago
@jess-penrose I am attempting to convince myself that I should be working on my Camp NaNo project rather than writing fanfiction for @seekjustice ‘s book. 😀
What’s you Camp NaNo project about?

Alrighty… answers!
@valtmy ~ some of my favorite books are Les Miserables (Victor Hugo), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Emma Orczy), and actually, War and Peace (Leo Tolstoy) was really good. But also anything by Agatha Christie (but especially the Tommy and Tuppence series), Wayne Thomas Batson (especially The Door Within trilogy), and just other…[Read more]
