I think how they react would be a product of who the characters actually are. I haven’t read many of the other comments so this may have already been noted, but I would try to develop the characters more. Thankfully, KP has planty of articles on that. 🙂

@bella-d Dark ages = The plague. Dirt floors and poor peasants.  Farming. And medevil.. Elegant rich princesses sitting in castle towers.
And also, stained glass!!! Like, seriously, though. whispers stained glass. And the endless arguments over popes and kings over whos more powerful /rolls eyes.

@emily-d If she still has the characters, thats great!! I would advise paying special attention in creating or developing your antagonist, assuming the protagonist is good atm. For learning more about the functions and etc, I strongly recommend the website personalitygrowth
They have articles explaining the different types of sensing, intuition, etc. and I think they do a wonderful job.
