No, I haven’t read The Ashtown Burials yet; my brother did though. 🙂 Is that series your favorite from N.D.’s books?
Awesome! I remember The Long Patrol vaguely. It’s been a while since I’ve read it though. 🙂
Cool! My siblings and I are big fans of the series. My favorite is the last book, Ember’s End. 🙂

I don’t think I’ve read either of those series, but I think I’ve heard of the Unblemished series. What genre are they?
1) I’ve never read any of those authors! I bet they’re great though. 🙂 Some of my favorites are Jennifer Erin Valent, S.D. Smith, and J.R.R. Tolkien.
2) Dracula, another book I have yet to read. (*sighs* Why does my…[Read more]

Hi Lin!
I write fantasy with dragons, yes, and owls and griffins and firebirds (cranky phoenixes that can light their feathers on fire and don’t get along with griffins) Also in this same series are certain people who can morph into owls, griffins and dragons depending on their lineage (I suppose that sounds weird outloud).
I have never read or…[Read more] -

@anika123 Welcome to the Kingdom! We’re so happy you’re here! I’ve got some questions for you, if you don’t mind.
1. What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of writing?
2, What’s your current work about?
3. What are some of your favorite books/movies?

@elfwing Hi there! Welcome to the Kingdom! I’m Linyang, though most here call me Lin.
Ah, dragons. Is this the type of fantasy that you write? I write fantasy as well, though I stray more towards an urban fantasy. Can you tell me what your current work in progress is about?
Also, beautiful profile picture.
Ey, I’m homeschooled as well, and also…[Read more]

Hello! I am Iris (aka Elfwing)
I’m new on here.
I like fantasy and griffins and dragons. (Toothless is adorable) I like writing a little too much perhaps, so I started writing seriously about a year and a half ago, and now have lots of fantasy novels ‘done’ and working on another currently. My characters are running amok and don’t do as they’re…[Read more]

Well, first it takes up all my daydreaming hours and my siblings (mainly my two oldest younger) get to listen to me rant on and off for a few weeks/months about various scenes that pop into my head. (They’re great listeners, and thankfully they seem to enjoy hearing my ideas. 😛 ) The scenes then get tucked away into the appropriate…[Read more]

Agreed. It’ll be worth all the work in the end though. 😛
Oh fun! Hope that goes well for you all. 😀

@gracie-j Ahhh tysm! It’s from a song called “Campanella” by Kenshi Yonezu! I highly recommend it (and the book which it was based on).

@kathleenramm
Cry. Or scream. Kidding, kidding.I’ll either scribble down some incoherent things for my future self to decipher, or I’ll run it around in my brain for a few days or weeks until I feel like I have a coherent idea for me to start developing. And then at some point I start it, leave it for six months, then come back and see where it takes me. -

oh yes! i love Donna too. lol. XD
i pretty much grew up watching Tom Baker. then when i was a little older it was Matt Smith. <3
it’s rlly fun! except for that none of us girls own an ipad/laptop so we have to watch it on a tinny phone screen so it’s a bit cramped and uncomfortable with four girls watching it in our walk-in…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Exactly! That’s why I love foreign literature.

@kathleenramm Of course! I totally get that. I feel like that while there’s clichés in manga, there is also a much different set of stories to explore than the ones we usually see.

Aww, thanks! I can’t wait to work with them. Unfortunately, Welfick doesn’t become more than a supporting character and Relbert doesn’t even appear until book two…and I’m still working through book one. *sigh* 😛

Welcome to the KP forum! I’m Lydia. 🙂
Same here! I’ve never read The Hunger Games or Harry Potter. I’ve found other series and characters to love and become obsessed with. 😛 What are some of your not-so-well-known favorites?
Here are a couple questions for you, if you’d like to answer:
1) Who are your top three authors?
2) What’s…[Read more]

1) I’ve read N.D. Wilson’s books! Okay, I did read the first two, but I skimmed through the last two. 😛 I read The Door Before before starting the main trilogy, and Mordecai was/is my favorite. Henry is cool though! Oh wow! I think you’re one of the first few people who have also read Brian Jacques’ book! I was huge fan of that…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Good characters! Hmm… Fullmetal Alchemist is definitely there at the top, or Silver Spoon, if you prefer school life over action/fantasy. A Silent Voice has a really nice MC and storyline for him. Spy x Family is extremely fun. 20th Century Boys by Naoki Urasawa, which I’m currently reading, is also phenomenal, though I’d have to…[Read more]
