He is very good at listening, always patient, never condemns me, or laughs at me, (like some people.) *glances around shiftily* And he does give some really good answers when he’s a mind too.…[Read more]

Great poem @belegteleri. And my mum would love you. She’s always trying to teach us the difference between to and too; your and you’re; its and it’s and so on. (I’m at least getting better. :))

So true @anna-brie. So true. I don’t know how many times I’ve written something that I think is so go only to have my mum or sister tell me is so uninteresting or not needed.

Has anyone used a word processing software other than Word or Pages? I’m thinking about getting Storyist, which I hear is similar to Scrivener. However, $60 is a lot of money (yes I’m kicking myself for not buying it with my NaNo discount before that expired) and I want to make sure that it would actually be helpful.
The main reason I have for…[Read more]

@anna-brie Hello. And no you’re not the first Australian. I signed up a few weeks/months ago. I am quite new to story writing and I certainly don’t write novels. 🙁 Scary!!! The most I’ve written is around a 5 page story. 🙂

I read the Hidden Hand so long ago that I don’t remember too many characters, but as long as I’m thinking of the correct book, I liked Travis. (he was the doctor, right?) In Ishmael, Bee and Nora were my favorites. Who were yours?

Welcome Anna! So happy to have you here! The first drafts of first novels are pretty much destined to be terrible (Mine sure was!!!) but that’s what editing is for! 🙂
