 Recently I started not even worrying about the &#8220;hook&#8221; and just letting it come to me as I was writing the scene.</p>

<p>Adults: They /very/ /very/ rarely pay at attention to costumes. I got two double takes in 2 hours. /two/. and it was crowded.</p>
<p>Children: They either gawk in awe or look confused. Often the parents lead them away as they stare. </p>
