I’M SO HAPPY THAT YOU LIKE MY IDEA! I thought I may have been the only one who loved hate-to-love romances! *high fives *does a happy dance
*… ahem
You’re advice is pure gold! You must have some weird special power, because you can write about my characters flawlessly! I’m really happy about the first point you made, because I can t…[Read more]

Oooh, this is a wonderful (or shall I say lovely?) topic! Okay, so I’m a little nervous about my own skills of writing romance, but I felt like I wanted to comment here and ask for some advice. I do understand that romance is a subject many writers shy away from, because half of the time, it isn’t written like it should be. But I b…[Read more]

Five books?! I must be behind the times. I will definitely have to look into that, after how good the first three were.
(And admittedly, I haven’t read the original Peter Pan either).

@jenwriter17 Oh goodness, these are wonderful! 🙂 They’re so neat and polished, too (and your characters sound interesting!) Could you tell me how you did it? I’d love to try that with my own characters

@jenwriter17 I’m participating in Crazy Writing Week and The Writer Games this month, and I’m working on training my writing muscles to write consistently as well, so that’s been fun. So…like three or four short stories/novellas and my regular WIP. It’s been super nice to be on top of things.
What about you?

I may be on/off, but I’ll be checking in! I’m writing an introduction scene currently, so that may be where I disappear off to if I randomly leave… 🙂

@abigail-m The 2014 Maleficent film was pretty good, from what I remember. But I was a kiddo back then so I don’t know if my judgement was good.
Trilogy? I think they’ve released five by now… I remember reading the last one first because I thought it wasn’t related. I have no memory of reading the rest, though, besides the first.
I should read…[Read more]

@millennium I used to outline my things, but for my current project I decided to try and pants the whole thing. I have the ending clear, as well as a few key scenes, but everything else will be left up to the spur of the moment.
I think for the middle parts I just usually feel my way along. You said that you have a clear start and an exciting…[Read more]

Peter and The Starcatchers was such a great trilogy. When I read the first book, I realized how bad my reading list was lacking in good sea-rollicking tales:) I know that they made a fourth book, ‘The Sword of Mercy.’ It came right after, ‘The Secret of Rundoon,’ but I haven’t read it. And there was another book as well, based…[Read more]

For sure. My favorite of the Disney re-make books was, ‘The Curse of Maleficent.’ It’s the story of Sleeping Beauty told through the POV of Maleficent and it was really good. I know they made a movie that it was based on, but I haven’t watched it.

@abigail-m Peter and the Starcatchers! It’s been forever since I read them, and I don’t remember which ones I read, but I remember liking them a lot!

@issawriter7 and @anyonewhoneedsabitofwriterlyinspiration/motivation
My motivation comes from a variety of things. From the intricate designs of nature to little ideas and words I collect in my Writing Journals to the thought that I really can make a change in the world with my work. And of course, Christ. He inspires my work to be worthwhile, by…[Read more]

I didn’t see your post, but from the responses, it sounds like you have troubles with scenes sometimes turning our blurry or just not moving along. If I’m wrong, you can ignore the rest of this message.
Whenever my scene is stuck I ask myself, “what is this scene exposed to do?” “What’s its job or place in the story?” If it’s…[Read more]
