This is a really cool story! Let me tag some more people who are better editors than I…@kate-flournoy @daeus @bluejay @hope @gretald
I like the way you incorporated the Scripture into the story- especially at the climax. -

@gretald The two historical fiction books I’ve read by Sir A.C. Doyle were “The White Company” and “Sir Nigel”. “Sir Nigel” is actually first (they are a series), but was written second. I read them one right after another and I could see that, but it didn’t bother me much. 🙂 I actually don’t know if he wrote any others.

@daeus Awesomesauce! Thanks for the great critique. What you mentioned about “the round about way” is a downfall in my writing and life. Mom says I flower everything up when it can just be stated plain and simple.
All the other suggestions were very helpful thank you. I’ll be using those when I go back through and make edits.@ingridrd Thank…[Read more]

@gretald I’ve seen those! Fireproof is my favorite; Courageous is too sad, and I was so mad at the ending because Shane was my favorite character. I do like Javier, though, so I can’t say I don’t like the movie. Have you seen their first movie, Flywheel? It’s not the same quality, being a first movie, but I still really like it.
The music in…[Read more]

@rebelutoinary Oops. I really was off the beam. I got a couple of the letters mixed up! The first part is flcsagr. Sorry about that. :}
@gretald Well, I really like O. Henry’s short stories. And I guess I’m rather partial to classic fairytales or similar stories–as might be evidenced by the fact that a good number of my own short stories (which…[Read more]

@gretald I think you just listed all my favorites! Fantasy is definitely my favorite genera, though I like to read most things. Added to the fantasy list that you had would maybe be the Ilyon Chronicles, the Blades of Acktar, the Chronicles of Narnia, plus I really like Sci-fi ones as well. I guess in my mind I lump them together with fantasy,…[Read more]

@gretald Haha! That sound worth reading. My favorite is Henry V, mostly because of Pistol and the Welshman. And it has a happy ending, unlike the tragedies. I know Hamlet was supposed to be sad, but I thought it was very funny. It’s probably my second to favorite one.

And…wow that was long. Sorry ’bout that. 😛
@emma-flournoy Well yay, I’m glad you like it here so much! You add a lot of fun to the group, in case you didn’t know. Especially that first time when you hijacked Kate’s account. 🙂
Aww, thanks Sarah. 😀
@emma-flournoy
Yay! I’m glad you’ll be on here more. 🙂 You have a lot of insightful writing comments and critiques, and like @sarah-h said, this group of KeePers wouldn’t be the same without you. 😉
Thanks Greta. That really means a lot. 🙂
I won’t just be on here ALL the time–I am trying to work on making sure I use my time in the wisest way I can—but I will be posting more that just very seldom. 😀
Thanks again. 🙂
You’re welcome!
I know…I need to work on using my time wisely. 😛 I don’t always use it very wisely, and I’m trying to get better at that. 🙂
@emma-flournoy I’m glad you’re going to be on here more often.
Hey, I’m editing the GC at the moment and some of your comments are so funny. I love the ones about Jenz. 🙂
Plus, you’ve made me do some serious thinking on certain plot points.
Thanks, Tessa. 🙂
Oh good, I’m glad they’re funny and helpful. I like that combination. 😀
And I loved writing the ones about Jenz. 😛
I was surprised to read at the end that Lucas was your favourite character.
@emma-flournoy
Err…you know I was joking, right? 😛 @Bluejay
Well…I kind figured that, but it was a bit hard to tell. You see, I knew Jenz was your fav, and then you go and say Lucas is. Maybe I should have warned you that I am the type of person who takes everything seriously. 🙂 But I can laugh at myself when some looks at me and says, “Um it was a joke.” 🙂
Does that make any sense at all? 😛
@emma-flournoy
Well, I thought I’d said Jenz was my favorite enough that you’d know I was joking…Lucas was my least favorite. 😛 Sorry… 😀 Glad you’re not offended. 😉
Haha. No worries. That clears that problem up. 😉 I have finished going through and fixing up the Golden Conch with your critiques. Would you like it back to read it again? And to red text again? 🙂
@emma-flournoy
Yes I would like to read it again! Do you want me to red text again? 😀
😀
