@jenwriter17 This is the cutest discussion XD All of these stories sound so cool!
My first pieces of creative writing were actually poems (or songs), not stories, actually, starting from around five or six years old. I would include them in my diaries randomly, whenever I thought of them, and I would say something like, “Here’s a poem” as if I…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper I’m not really an expert on this, but the thing that’s helped me most is mixing things up — variety.
Variety in sentence length. I like to mix long, short, and medium sentences in a fairly even blend.
Variety in sentence openers. Too many subject openers in a row can get choppy. Try to throw in some -ings,…[Read more]

@warrenluther04 Lol. *pats shoulder* There there. You’re only ah… two months late.
LOL Yes you can read it. BUT, you’ll probably have to wait a bit until I’m done with this round of edits. Then, I’ll ask for another round of beta-readers (charlie-readers). But I will need that kind of people, so I’ll be sure to tag you if you’re available…[Read more]

So recently (okay, not recently). For the past TWO novels, I’ve been really focusing on the show don’t tell thing. That in itself is all right. I don’t know how to do otherwise now. However, it creates another sort of problem.
Choppiness.
Due to the fact that I’m not exactly writing a school essay and transitions such as ‘furthermore’ won’t…[Read more]

So we’ll see where that goes. 🙂 I thank you for your encouragement, and for teaching me the importance of body language. It is a lesson I’ve never forgotten. I now own The Em…[Read more]
