So, recently I’ve been drawing a charrie with blonde hair and blue eyes, he’s a young man, sometimes looks like no more than a boy in my drawings. He’s a soldier,…[Read more] -

Aww thanks girl! <333
Thanks guys.
I find it weird and dumb how there are kids who are so obsessed with sports and look down on more “academic” things (honestly what are they doing at school?)
Exactly!! You’re at school to learn, not to play sports….contrary to popular belief XD
because publi…

Those people didn’t choose to have brown eyes, and if they had a choice, I doubt many people would pick to.

Personality-wise, my characters have all sorts of different traits… I’m an INTP, but I try to make my characters different myself,
Hey, awesome! We’re twins xD
That’s really interesting! I don’t know if I’ve honestly tried to write from the perspectives of extroverted characters before … I guess I struggle with character development a lit…[Read more]

So this was an interesting idea I had yesterday… I was wondering which traits are most commonly picked for character appearances (and personality, too).
For example, even though my hair is more of a dirty blonde, most of my main characters have dark brown or black hair, and gray or brown eyes. I’m not really sure why I do this XD I guess I just…[Read more] -

Hello @grcr!
it’s nice to meet you!!! yeah it’s never boring around our house🤣 I’m probably a third of the way through.
my favorite color is teal, I have no idea how many characters I have. I’ve never counted 😂 I’d say somewhere around thirty to forty? First person (I walked) for sure. Characters! I am SO BAD at world building! 🤣&…[Read more] -

Heeey! So, I had an idea.
Your charrie is lost in a creepy old house and can’t find their way out. And it is haunted… BUT, it’s by the ghost of their past (credit goes to Whaley Zabinski for the idea of the ghost of their past). So lots of scary ghost and backstory drama. The person whose ghost it is can be the only one who can see it (or…[Read more]

Does anyone use Grammarly? I was wondering if it is as good as everyone says. I’m thinking about using it to make some minor corrections on my book, but want to know if its reliable.
I really don’t know what else to ask, so any advice would be appreciated😊-
That name sounds familiar, but I don’t have any idea what it is.
-
Heres an excerpt I found online:
“Grammarly is an American cloud-based typing assistant. It reviews spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, engagement, and delivery mistakes in English texts, detects plagiarism, and suggests replacements for the identified errors. It also allows users to customize their style, tone, and context-specific…[Read more]

@acancello
I’ve heard of it and used it once…but it’s kinda annoying because it corrects your style. So it would say sentances aren’t grammatically correct because they aren’t….but I wanted it that way because it sounds better and it’s just my style. It was annoying and I had no use for it so I deleted it. I think Google Docs works fine for…[Read more]-
Hmmm, alright. I also think that would be annoying. Thank you! 🙂

Ehh… I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never used it before… sorry, I guess I can’t help much…
-
Thats ok 🙂 I just found out about it today too
-
😊
-
I have actually used it lots of times before! I don’t use it while writing though, because it gets kind of acting, but any type of editing it would be great for. Did you have any other questions in specific about it?
-
Haha whoops, I just realized you said you didn’t know what to ask. Umm, I think it’s definitely worth downloading. I never got premium but you can still do a good amount of stuff with the free version, like spell check, which is really good for just finding typos xD. And then you can look at your tone and see if any of your sentences aren’t…[Read more]

I’ve never personally used it, but I know a friend who’s used it. But I haven’t heard much about it from her, so I guess I’m not much help. XD Honestly, I’ve never had any interest in getting something like Grammarly because I don’t struggle with spelling and grammar too much and I have a friend who’s willing to edit my books for me. Lol. So yeah. XD
-
Yeah, I would mainly use it to catch all the little things I missed, and after, I may just hand the whole thing and a red pen over to my mom since shes good at things like that XD

Lol XD

i use the web extension! it gives me suggestions on everyhting i write, whether it be an email, short story or google search! i really like it!

🙄 me and my stupid typos
@rae I really like using the names of elements and abstract ideas for the names of my characters, like Victory, Hope, Wind, Silence…etc. I think they make pretty good ones. 🙂
*taps fingers together*
Alright… names are my specialty (sometimes).
Did you want an actual “real” name, or would anything work? I only ask because nature-ish names were the first to come to my head… kinda like what Hanako said she liked.
Oh, and what were the names you thought of already? That might help me understand your “theme”.

@grcr @hanako The names I thought of were:

Oooh, names. That’s one of my favorite parts of character creation. Let’s see here… Here are some ideas (with the help of Google XD):
Enzo
Orion
Grayson
Wyatt
Colten
Malcolm
Rex
Phoenix (I actually know a girl by this name, but apparently it’s a boy name too)
Bryce
Kian
Ryder
Griffin
Royce
Tryp

Theo
Gunnar

I can’t think of anything right now :/ I’ll let you know if I get any good ideas.
@esther-c I like Justus, only problem, I know a really sweet guy named Justice, and every time I hear that name I think of him and…This charrie is so opposite of the Justice I know…anyways, thank you for the list!
Ah, I gotcha.
Yeah, of course!
