Okay so I’m curious. How many singers do we have on here, and how many of those actually have some vocal training?
I don’t. 😛 I sing because I love it and I can’t help it. Several years ago I looked up some basic mechanics tutorials on Youtube and learned about proper breathing and voice control, but that’s about it. -

I shall tag the singers: @kate-flournoy @ethryndal @that_writer_girl_99 @daeus 😛
Now, the Dragon hardly sings. I know nothing about it. 😀 -

Oh yeah, and she could work at the arm during the day, then maybe have to work at a factory or something at night.

@moriahS If you want her to be taking part in more than just farming, which can be a lot just in itself, then there are several things I can think of from the top of my head. I know that in WWII, women often went to work in factories and other shops because most of the men went to war. They also knit socks and built things for the entire army.…[Read more]

The Impossible Girl replied to the topic First or Third? in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 5 months ago
@dragon-snapper I prefer 3rd person. Probably because in 1st person I have to remember that I’m not writing in a diary. I don’t want to accidentally make my character an exact replica of me (because, to be honest, I would make a terrible character).

The Impossible Girl replied to the topic Excerpt from novel. Please critique! in the forum Novel Critique Requests 9 years, 5 months ago
@jane-maree Yeah. I’ll still try and work it as far from that style as possible. 🙂
@ethryndal Reading over it again, I see what you mean. This is what critiquing is for after all! 🙂 I shall work on it after I finish my homework. *scribbles down a reminder* -

Oh my goodness. @kate-flournoy Help me out, I’m not sure I could accurately take the test for Kara… (the MC in my current WIP)
I’m an INFP, and proud. I feel like Kara would be the same…maybe?

@That_Writer_Girl_99 *gulp* Um… yes. Apparently I did. I’m sorry… it slips out when I get excited around people I like. 😉
It doesn’t have to be a physical difference at all. The difference you pointed out is perfect. Thing is, you have to realize the way people act is directly tied to their EiLs. Tam and Kara differ there, and that is the…[Read more]

In fact… you could make him the one with the complete thematic truth. That it’s better to face reality than shelter in ignorance. A very unlikely bearer of truth— maybe the reader doesn’t see it at first. But if you give him that, his EiL should be the one that wins.
Agreed. @kate-flournoy

…did you just call me sweetheart? @kate-flournoy
Okay. Foil characters. That fundamental difference can be anything? Like how Tam is brash and boastful and Kara is shy and sheltered? Or a physical difference, like how Tam gets taken out of the prison, and Kara stays?
I love the idea of an impact character. *scribbles this in her notes*

@That_Writer_Girl_99 YES! Blake also seems like a really, really great opportunity to be an Impact Character. In fact… you could make him the one with the complete thematic truth. @That_Writer_Girl_99 not a problem. 😀 And if you think this is great… sweetheart. Wait until KP actually releases the Theme Mastery course I learned all this from. I was a beta-tester… it changed my life. YOU MUST HAVE IT. OKAY. (I was not paid for that advertisement. 😉 )
