Oh, yeah, INFP definitely seems to fit Tolkien. I’m an INTP which I think might be a little weird for a writer.

I’m kinda late to this discussion, but I’d recommend anything written by ND Wilson. In particular:

• Ashtown Burial series (fantasy. my personal favorite)
• Outlaws of Time (an awesome mix of western, fantasy, and time travel)
• Boys of Blur (a fantasy/thriller(?) set in the sugar cane marshes of Florida)
