I don’t think you should probably use an assassination to start off a rebellion though, just because assassination without declared war is little more than murder.

Yes, definitely. Not a whole lot of foreshadowing with anything— a few vague, disquieting hints here and there, but otherwise you’re left on your own and the discovery is all yours when it comes.

You know you’re a writer when you rewrite books you are reading in your mind.

Whew. I was starting to worry that I might not be a writer, but I do that quite often.

You also know you’re a writer when sudden depletions of the pantry happen to coincide with long periods you spend in front of your laptop.

I haven’t watched star wars in forever but I think I can say that it had a good plot in that you never really knew what was going to happen next, you were kept in the present and that made things more exciting.

@Hope— yes, there does seem to be a trend towards good dragons. Because first there was a trend for bad dragons… and then people started trying to break the cliche… and now that is becoming cliche… so I guess you could say my dragons are bad in anticipation of the flipping of the cliche again. 😛

Well David wouldn’t assassinate the Lord’s anointed, but there was a judge who assassinated an oppressive ruler who had subjugated the nation of Israel. I haven’t really studied this much, but it appears it might be ok in some circumstances and not in others, though were to draw the line, I don’t know.

I’ve not read ‘After the Flood’ yet, but I’m hoping to soon! My sister only just finished it, and she had to share some of the dragon stories with me. I agree. Absolutely mindblowing.
