I have a friend who is in an art school right now and it’s been really interesting talking to her, because all of her art pieces have literally been inspired by dreams or other ideas God has given to her, and they all have some sort of revelation or message in them, and she’s been able to have a lot of good conversations with…[Read more]

That’s fantastic. *arms arsenal*
Your examples make a lot of sense. If Aragorn had died, his character arc and the whole theme of restoration would just be swamped in a big dramatic Fading. As for Frodo, in the end of Two Towers we’re given a glimpse of what it would be like if he dies=d and Sam had to take the ring, but as the…[Read more]

Well, I absolutley love Telemachus…and I’m starting to like Odyssyus.
My younger sister and I both love Athena’s piano theme! It’s SO beautiful. Have you ever found out if there’s an intrusmental version? Because the music is stunning!

That’s amazing! It’s wonderful what He has done or us. As the old song goes, “When I think of the goodness of Jesus,/ and all he has done for me, my soul cries out,/ Hallelujah, Thank God for saving me.”
I love how many different analogies there are in scripture for God and his relationship with us.
One of my recent favorites…[Read more]

Oh yeah, I just remembered. I discussed this with another book-reading friend, and that’s why it was in my mind.

This morning, a list of thoughts suddenly popped into my head. I don’t know why. Maybe because I’ve been reading more books lately. :-]
It’s easy to think a reader’s negative response to a character death is ultimately good. You want them to feel a gut punch, right? You want them to be angry, right? You want them to cry, right? I cannot deny this…[Read more]

I do remember Julian talking to Ernst about his father, if that’s what you’re talking about. Nice to get a glimpse into his state of mind before… well…

aha. That makes sense….
And it works. Joseph’s main struggle is dread, and so that book played more off of the dread factor. I wanted you to feel his hopelessness. This is different, so it’s good that it came across different.
Also, I believe you were the one who mentioned Phillip’s section seeming a little out of place.…[Read more]

I have to say, this was probably one of the most exciting sections I’ve ever read in this series.
Wow. This has always been a favorite section of mine but, i must know, why did you say that? What makes this one stand out so much?
Not Roland? I know he just got married, but that man loves hunting, and its not like he’s goi…

Did you see it coming with the foreshadowing earlier that day?

Oh no. 😭 Poor Rolf.
I really liked this section… even though it was sad. You did a good job with the action and tying in Lieutenant Roth’s story to the main plot.

“We need more meat,” Rolf said. He and several others were sitting about in the main cavern, eating breakfast.
“Are we running low again?” Julian asked.
“Yes, and we’ve hunted this area clean.”
