I think YA totally works. YA includes more than you might think. In our library, I find stuff in the juvenile section that should be in YA, and stuff in the YA section that I’m little shocked to see, but it def wouldn’t be considered adult fiction.
So yeah, in short, I think your books would be young adult fiction.

Waitttt, that’s not a bad idea!! I’m definitely going to consider that. My original idea that I’m working with now is that Hallie ends up joining/hanging out with a group of girls who are “popular”ish. They give her advice and pretend to be nice to her. In fact she ends up spending a lot of time with them since all her other…[Read more]

Thanks!! The foreshadowing and pacing in this book is definitely stretching me and it’s been a learning curve, but I’m slowly figuring it out. (I think… XD)
Aww, thanks!!
Um… practice? I don’t know, but honestly it’s just practice. XD Now I will confess, I used to throw tons of action tags on dialogue an…[Read more]

Here’s a scene I wrote earlier this afternoon from Worth All the World. Apparently Easton was in a mood (which I feel like is a little out of character, but right now, idc because it actually might work XD). Warning: unedited 😬
(ok I’ll stop tal…[Read more]

Hey!! It has been a while!
I’m good! Busy, but good. 😉 The volleyball season is about to start with tryouts at the end of June. Right now it’s just open gyms and fitness training instead of actual practices. I’m really excited for the season though!
Writing’s been pretty good. I’m working on a new WIP over the summer which I’m really excited abo…[Read more] -

Irl, I’m pretty sure gangsters used to call the police the Fuzz. At least in the UK… probably not here in America, lol.

Yesss, I love the big family dynamic so much. They also have a pretty big friend group, so right now the beginning of the book has some Hobbit vibes, where all the dwarves are suddenly introduced and thrown into Bilbo’s house and you have no idea what’s going on, lol. But I introduce everyone in more detail later.
Thanks!!

Easton
“It’s nice to meet you, Maverick,” Easton said with a small smile, hoping to erase or at least curb the awkwardness of the situation. “Is this your first year here?”

That’s exciting! Yeah, I saw you posted on the Chat Chat about it and it sounded really interesting! I love sibling relationships in books so much haha. What’s the plot like?
I’m doing pretty good too! In real life, I haven’t been too busy now that school’s out. My grandparents have been coming over a lot and hanging out, so that’s been fun. I’ve…[Read more]
Thanks! Yeah, it’s gonna be so much fun. 😁 So there’s not a ton of action and it revolves around the theme of finding out what’s worth the world. So in Easton’s case, he learns that being there for someone and investing in their life can make more of a difference than trying to change the whole world, because to that one person, it means the wor…[Read more]
I get that! Sort of slower-paced, but more focused on the characters and their relationships. Cool!
Yeah, I really like it! I usually just do it while watching shows or movies with my family in the evening–once you know how to do it, it doesn’t require full concentration 😉. Oh boy . . . a lot of stuff. Two blankets, gloves, a couple bags, a…[Read more]

Ooh fun! I’ve been into making friendship bracelets lately, so I kinda do the same thing.
