@hope – That’s okay. I’m at my grandma’s house, and I can always reload on sweets here. You are right about the extra words. I still haven’t gone home yet, so no writing been done today, so I might only have the evening to write. Ah, what’s another late night in the grand scheme of things. I think my whole life has been training me for NANOWRIMO.…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper – Yes along with all my metal thingys in my pockets I usually have paper and a pen and pencil. I don’t carry notebooks in my pocket because they get bent. You carry a saddlebag around? I carry a backpack to basically everywhere, even church, but it’s so cool! @corissa-maiden-of-praise has the same one I do, and instead of things…[Read more]

I’ve been studying up on theme. Especially in movies. So I was wondering if you could give: Two movies that have, in your opinion, extremely powerful themes. If you could also give why those movies have such great themes or how they made the theme awesome then that would be even better.
Now I’m not talking about themes like “Peace is better than…[Read more]

Now I’m not talking about powerful themes like “Peace is better than war because true peace isn’t tainted by man.” That’s a decent enough theme. Great even. But it isn’t necessarily powerful…[Read more]

Careful, @emma-flournoy. You’ve been nodding so hard your head’s beginning to fall off. It’s been . . . what? Three days now?

@emma-flournoy – True about human people. Hee hee. I mean my evil is not a presence/spirit, but a real person with the qualities that human’s normally have.
@kate-flournoy @Daeus – It is so much more interesting to write complex people for villains. @hope had a writing prompt on twitter or pinterest about a villain who is working undercover in a…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien Definitely human. I feel that they can be more complex and rounded that way, not just an average badguy.
And about your lunch, that is hilarious! Although it’s probably not something I would do, it’s still funny. I’d probably say something snappy (hence Dragon Snapper). And yes, I did ask the question, and I can hardly write…[Read more] -

@emma-flournoy – I didn’t really like I See Fire. I Like the alternated version they do of “The Misty Mountains” in one of the credits though.
@Mark-Kamibaya @emma-flournoy I was kinda disappointed in The Battle of the Five Armies too. I never liked the Tariel/Kili thing in the fact that they added it, but when I was immersed in the movie world I…[Read more]

@Daeus – I wonder if my little brother is the same MBTI type as yours. He calls me and my two little sisters, ‘Honey.’ And he’s TWO years old! The other day my five-year-old sister was working on her writing lesson and my little brother took the pen and said, “Honey, Honey, let me show how to do.” he has a very extensive vocabulary. And I’ve added…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien I’m afraid I haven’t had that problem, or whatever you want to call that. I really only talk to my stuff, and other people. My conversations are with my things. Its a good thing they never talk back, though, because that could get interesting.
@writefury Well, my writing is littered with it, though I can use a sentence every…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy– Again, that came from Fergus. Fergus is the shieldbearer for Lord McDougal (a total goofball of a lord) and Fergus takes his job deadly serious. He always calls McDougal ‘sir’, he’s always the voice of logic, he rarely smiles and his loyalty is really unmatched. Really, such a serious guy, but he’s the biggest sweetheart. Quite…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy– d’awww <3

Character inspiration… that’s a quite interesting topic, actually. Let’s list…
Wolfgang- Narration voice was strongly inspired by Sage from the Ascendance Trilogy (I just really loved how I could be reading the most boring scene in the whole book and still be grinning and unable to put it down because the…[Read more]

I have not read his other books besides Last of the Mohicans—but I really want to as soon as possible. They are on my to read list. 🙂 I’m sure us writers can all identify with that list.
His books are actually really clean except for the violence, which was pretty graphic. If you’re ok with that, then I highly recommend his w…[Read more]

@Daeus @kate-flournoy Wow, the first Elf. I’m not certain whether to feel extremely proud, or a little lonely…:)
@bluejay Yes, I write fantasy. There’s so much to this world that I figure I might as well spend all my time figuring out another, completely unreal one. But hey, nothing in the imagination is fake, right? And hopefully, the more I…[Read more]
