@ariel-ashira You know, I think he probably would. Maybe not intimidated but just slightly shy, although I think his main feelings would of course be joy. And probably, meeting his family again would be a moment where he ‘breaks down’ but in a good way and shows all his feelings, although it doesn’t necessarily have to be

One thing to keep in mind with this is his response, too, although you’ve probably already thought that out. Obviously he’s not going to be shocked but he will probably be very emotional/happy. The other character reactions depend a lot on what the other characters are like.
I would expect his mother to be very emotional and to be…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira, they’re really good. I wish he had written more of them.
I started reading This Present Darkness a few years ago, but I think I was too young to understand it so I didn’t finish

@ariel-ashira, have you read his Veritas series? it only has two books, Hangman’s Curse and Nightmare Academy. its another teen series. A bit more in depth than the Cooper series, but more theologically sound than the adult books

@rochellaine, sadly my family has never gone to any homeschool conference. I think the only conference that I have ever gone to was a BBFI missions one.
But if anyone lives in or visits Colorado, let me know

Alia replied to the topic Writers' Corner #15 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@ariel-ashira, about 30 minutes from Denver.
Is there a particular reason you wanted to know?

@ariel-ashira, I think the difference is that spoilers tell everything and teasers tell a small portion to make you want to know more

Alia replied to the topic Writers' Corner #15 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@ariel-ashira, mainly it’s before you get there. Say you and a sibling were reading the same book. If she finished it first and then told you how it ended, then it takes away the experience of finding out yourself. that’s the main reason people don’t like spoilers

Alia replied to the topic Writers' Corner #15 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@seekjustice, you still here?
@ariel-ashira, a spoiler is when someone tells you something about a book/movie/tv show before you know about it.
