Emma Flournoy

  • @PerfectFifths Wow. So cool to know a famous author.
But it’s gonna be really nice—I’ll know quite a few famous authors once all you guys get published. 😮

I’ve read Hostage Lands, and his 6 Scottish/Scottish-American ones.

  • I terribly wish I could help more, but I don’t have any kind of ‘social media’ account accept here. 🙁 I would broadcast it to the air, but I don’t think that’ll do much good.

  • @Dragon-Snapper Here I am at last.

    THIS IS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

    😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮 😮

Crazy!! All the inside jokes and mocking of cliches! And everything else! I certainly didn’t think it’d turn into this when I gave you that prompt. 😀 😀 😀
And the characterization! Though I’m not quite such a worrywort in…[Read more]

  • @Ethryndal @GracieGirl *collects four cents*
Okay, I totally agree, now that you’ve both expressed yourselves so lucidly on the matter. 😀 I do think it was more than just comradeship, but only a little. And I was almost rejoicing that they didn’t kiss. XD I loved the hug at the end, but that was plenty. That’s more of a just friendly thing…[Read more]

@Ethryndal I read through that topic after I’d answered you here. Now I understand. 😀

Nah, it’s more orderly and less confusing to have it all in one place. I’ll just stick with long.

It is different…but not hateable, I thought. Sheesh Anna. But you should see it again sometime. When there is such a time. And whenever you finish reading TSP,…[Read more]

  • @Ethryndal Yeah, purty sure. 😀 And it’s still awesome, no matter your age group.
    I KNOW! Small world.

Yup, we understand each other. This is good.
I don’t care that the emails are long (far from it, give me GIVE ME!)—just that that makes it so I have to take longer to reply, and thus longer till I can hear from you again. 😀

Young and evil Gandalf, I KNOW! *cackles with you* That’s a great movie. Different from the books in ways, but still…[Read more]

    • DRAGON SNAPPER DARED ME. That’s all I’ll say. 😛

Eh, yeah, that’s pretty true. THERE’S JUST SO MUCH TO SAY. Arg. How do I handle it? You can always answer in installments, if you like.

Well good for Caroline. *approving nod* It’s been a while since I saw it last (Anna absolutely hates it; don’t ask me why), but I do remember liking it. The book…[Read more]

    • Yeah, the Gollum was my fault. 😀

  • @PerfectFifths Nice! Is Douglas Bond Australian? I’ve read some of his books.

@Ethryndal @Kate-Flournoy entered that contest too, and went through the same thing (obviously). It was n.e.r.v.e. w.r.a.c.k.i.n.g. I don’t think it was an error, either; not to be badmouthing them of course, but there were updates on their Facebook page or something…[Read more]

    Hey Kina!
You’re right, the ‘thud’ sounds kind of soft. ‘Bang’ is a little bettter, and I don’t think it’s too similar to guns, but it is very common. So…crack…pound…hammer…? Those wouldn’t all work the way you had it—the word repeated twice slowly. I mean, it would sound a little weird. ‘Hammer. Hammer.’
Hm. 😛 If you wanted to…[Read more]

  • @GracieGirl Agreed.

@Ethryndal They didn’t go that route with Jyn and Cassian?! 😮 I got that impression…not as strong as say, Aragorn and Arwen or anything, but I thought for sure they were doing that.

  • @Ethryndal

Write about a crown that is only allergic to the king’s head.

Write about the Gum Rebellion of ’92 when all the gum boycotted the bottom of the tables.

How do you think up these awesome things?

Oh yum, chocolate. *eats it* OH yum, more chocolate! *goes on caffeine high*

You have the EXACT same effect on me! And I keep thinking, how can one person be so NICE?!
And, I have an opinion on the Admirable and so forth, and I say they’re true. So, you need not feel bashful. XD

    Like you were feeling bashful.

I finished reading your email a…[Read more]

    • WELL I LOVE YOU TOO!

*poof* Yes, I remember that. And I know the feeling. The feeling of…bursting. *knowing nod* Quite. But yes, feel free to respond at your leisure. I was almost thinking of sending it in installments because it was so long, but then I thought, eh, well. We understand one another. So it’s all good. *poof again*

Eppi wanted to send her respects too, eh? 🙂 I’m looking forward!

Hope your rehearsal goes well, big sister of mine.

  • @Cloudy Welcome!! Glad to have you. And nobody’s asked you yet what MBTI type you are. So I ask you, what is your MBTI type? (I’m guessing INTP. If I may make so bold as to guess. 😛 )

  • Emma Flournoy posted a new activity comment 9 years, 1 month ago

Nice. The movies are still good as well.
And so I will! (Well actually, she just told me you already asked and she sent it. So, there we are. :D)

Yes, happy tears are a good feeling. We’re okay. 😉
I am so very fond of my new big sister as well, and Christi, thank you so much for your kindness and mentorly-ness. <3

@Christi-Eaton why do your responses always make me feel like crying happy tears?!
Thank you so much for your sympathy and prayers! And really, I’d feel guilty about NOT being open. I don’t like being vulnerable, and it is hard to let people know sometimes, but I’d feel dishonest if I pretended all is fluff when it isn’t.

    I love that nickname!…[Read more]

    • First of all, I have watched all the Lord of the Rings movies, multiple times. And please have Kate message me, I’d love to send you mail. I have a whole pile of stationary, and I believe some of it is just waiting for me to send it to you 😀

Also, happy tears are the best kind of tears, so as long as I’m causing you to cry them instead of sad…[Read more]

Wonderful. 😀 Hope it all goes splendidly.

Weeeelll…there’s a lot of me trying to stop being irritable and depressed with all the stuff I’m needing to do, and our current busyness, and headaches which so opportunely seem to have gotten worse lately and make it harder to do everything. I certainly DON’T begrudge Mom and Abigail’s time, but I’m…[Read more]

    • First of all, @emma-flournoy I want to say that I appreciate you being open. I know how hard it is to be vulnerable, I’ve had to be open myself the other day, and I know it’s not easy. Second, I understand how you feel so well. Lately, I’ve struggled with depression myself, so I know how hard and frustrating life is. You definitely have a lot on…[Read more]
