By the way, this article isn’t (or maybe it is) about psychological suffering, but since I’m pretty sure it’s point is what you’re intending in your stories, I’ll share it. It definitely changed the way I think of pain.
And it’s hilarious, so you know. Thought you’d enjoy.…[Read more]

Ok, I will say that I enjoyed how it was carried off in this section. I agree with what @linus-smallprint said about that. It reminded me of The Healer by Dee Henderson. (A book about facing the grief of a broken world.) Very good.
What I say is redundant is the fact that it feels like more characters are dying than those who…[Read more]

Eeellllllleeeeeeetttttttte………
Why shouldn’t you kill them? Well, because it’s getting redundant. I love your story and your characters. The setting has a unique feel of its own and the characters are compelling to say the least. However, unless you have a brand-new absolutely unseen point to make with more death, it may…[Read more]

Hey, it’s good to see you! ❤️🥲 I’ve missed seeing the Queen of Emojis and HistFic. 👑📖
Ugh. Walking Pneumonia hit my sisters a month ago. It’s frustrating when the cough won’t go away or even do anything other than bruise your throat. I’ll be praying for you. *Adds honey to the tea* Honestly, we all need to rest sometimes. It’s okay to take your…[Read more] -

Does it fit how you pictured him? The plushie is yet unclaimed.

Not sure. Maybe because he’s a guardian type, protecting his younger brother. Maybe because he reminds me of a centurion, and I always loved the centurions in the Bible. He doesn’t understand everything, but he has a strong sense of honor.

Aha!

Lisa was looking for that. You don’t want her looking for you instead!
*Looks around*
Oooo, nice story, Ellette. I like Julian.

I will post a character aesthetic, though. It has a bit of the backstory woven in, so I won’t be specific, but see if you can guess who it is! (I say like it’s not painfully obvious.) Whoever gets it right gets an imaginary plushie of this character OR his horse!

Mae Govenen! Thank ya’ll for your feedback. And I will especially thank you for tactfully reminding me to post the extra that fateful Thursday.
As we all know, the extra was not posted.
Fear not, nevertheless! Although we have not posted chapters, we have been writing them. And…[Read more]

Oh! I love hearing about your progress. This is so exciting!
The aesthetics are exquisite! I love all the little peoples in them. They really show Riker’s tender heart.
Hans will forever be “a cold sore on the lip of life” like Anne Shirley puts it, but hey, what makes a better villain? I agree that he’s not flat, (dare I…[Read more]

My sister and I reverted to eleven year-olds the moment we found out. The amount of happy dances since then has been Citadel of Dreams worthy.
We have effectively spread the Natalian infection to multiple people in our church, and hopefully this next book will bring more loyalties. I feel like a Seventh Districter.…[Read more]

Eeek, I forgot the phone died before I sent in my response. Now it’s very late, but anyhoo,
I’m doing well. Basically, I met concrete and it was not polite. Thank the Lord, the only real injury was a broken bone in my hand. It’s almost normal now. 🙂 -

Yay! Whenever I put symbolism in a story I end up awkwardly trying to figure out if people caught it without giving it away. For further clarification, look up the two flowers mentioned.
And we definitely need more fabulous books for young people!

That sounds like a lot of fun! It’s a theme both Middle Grade and YA could need, so you can absolutely write it for both. I’m technically a young adult and I like animal stories.
And yes, Yigal was military. There’s a lot of flower/name symbolism in the story… did you catch it?
In the words of Calvin, that was STUPENDOUS.…[Read more]
