Also, a question I have for everyone.
What have you used to digitize art? I do analog/traditional art, so I would need to scan or photograph it. But I have noticed a bit of distortion when I do.

It’s ok! I’m prone to rambling myself.
It’s my understanding that charging by the hour per work is typical. So paid by the hour, but within the confines of the specific illustrations.
However, I would probably charge per illustration for just on here. (Which would be the only illustration jobs I would probablybd doing for a…[Read more]

Ah! It’s perfect! I love the contrast between the two characters, on top of their similarities.
*stuff a bunch of questionsabout digitizing art back into my mouth*

Wouldn’t it be?
I would love to illustrate for you! I was actually considering starting out doing some smaller jobs for KPers just to see how I liked it and to help out. Prices for a typical professional are well above what most of us can afford. ($2,000+)
Welp. I’m not really a professional either. So this will…[Read more]

Ugh, yes. Today at work I realized a little kid was watching me out of the corner of his eye. It was really obvious. Now I keep wondering what it looks like when I do it.

Hey there, fellow artists of word and form!
I have officially reached the WhatAmIDoingWithMyLife age. And while I’m praying about it and trusting God will open doors like He promised, I also believe that He directs us best when we’re moving. So, I think I need to start…[Read more]

Absolutely! I do it in class and at work too. Or at church and conferences. It can get really distracting. O.O XD
You might be an author if you randomly eavesdrop on strangers so you can get story ideas.

The Knoweth Jesus Version all the way!!
Although I do sometimes use the Elect Standard Version for clarification. However, sounds so much more “spiritual” to forget that, and just say I look it up in the WLC/BYZ. No matter that I can’t read it without Strong’s help. XD

I’m glad it helped! I knew a lot of it was randomness, but when I can look at my difficulty in a new light, everything can start to click. Randomness that really doesn’t fit is typically what I use like. XD
I was trying to imply with that part, how Neveah’s heart broke for Sef. Putting myself in Neveah’s shoes, nothing wou…

And it feels like I’m going in circles. XD
If “you’re unloveable” is a side of her ‘shard of glass’, then maybe “your hopeless,” “you’re alone,” “your too far gone,” etc.

Wow. That’s dark. Pretty good story-wise, though. I’ll just go on a rabbit trail of plotting and hope it gives ideas. XD
I liked how you had Neveah try to combat the lie, and it’s obvious it’s for Sef’s sake, not her own. To make this sequence really work, maybe make Sef think her Mani is just trying to save herself – it’s…[Read more]

Ok! I read it. It’s good. They seem very inexperienced/in over their heads, but they’re handling it with humor so it’s funny. XD
Although the wolves were scary. O.O XD

Ok. I am in the middle of section 2. I’ll go back and finish it. I’m just so… amazed.
WHY would ANYONE in his right mind Say That? XD I’m sorry, it’s just something I remember from a visiting missionary. You rarely if ever start off saying “the gods are false.” Telling people everything they believe is a lie will typically…[Read more]

Ooo, lies. XD if I remember right, they want to start with little lies (because they’re more believable) and then work toward bigger lies with more power. So here are some ideas for chains of lies.
“You should be able to be strong enough on your own” (so when you falter, “you must be a failure” can follow)
“If God loved you,…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle @whalekeeper (Do you like sugar or cream with that?)
Thank ya’ll so much! I am enjoying using a simpler, more whimsical style than I use with graphite. Watercolor is just… fairytale-esc.
And shading with watercolor is finally starting to make sense. XD

Ok… You know that one character? The one who is disturbingly realistic? If I make a thread sometime later this month about handling dark topics in a God glorifying way, this is why.

Oooo, a scene….
Leo does have a point. At least fighting the Nazis gives him an idea of purpose. Poor kiddo.
Poor Riker though. I’m rather proud of him. Leo definitely struggles to see the hurt in other people.
