I… Just had to look up what grade 16 is in. I’ve been in college too long. XD (definitely that and not the Homeschool Brain showing. definitely) It doesn’t help that Viktor is 14 in his book.
Viktor
Lois? Lois. Did he know a Lois?
“I don’t think so. I haven’t been here long. Just moved here. My cousin Reúven has come…[Read more]

Just moving my folks. We watched a documentary on Europe and now I need to cope. XD
Liora (street crossing near the school)
Evening was coming and with it an abundance of artificial starlight. Liora followed Reúven into a circle of yellow streetlight comfort. There was a patch of grass beside the light and she could hear crickets starting up a…[Read more]

Oof. Lucille has my sympathies. (I’m going to enjoy calling her that.) Filing stuff stinks. As does doing a job on your own.
Mmm… Nougat.

- Senseless miscommunication. (Need clarification?)
- Senseless offences (how dare she buy her favorite ice cream with her birthday money? Or how dare he not tell me he was a secret agent! Like what did you expect him to do? I get it if this isn’t cleared up until late in an…

Sorry it’s been a bit. I’m back now.
Viktor (Library)
“Pre Algebra. I wanted to skip a grade or two, but my parents made me stay in fifth. Apparently I don’t ‘spend enough time with kids my age’. But at least they’re letting me do advanced math.”
Brea rolled her eyes at her algebra book and turned the page. Apparently…[Read more]

Wellllll. They never came in. As complete strangers, they would not enter unless given an invitation. Sylvia was obviously in need of a shower and a nap.
They are sitting on a bench under the stairs waiting for the next trolley to come by and using the opportunity to watch for the Leo’s return. They might have left by now or not…[Read more]

Welp. I wasn’t sure I would join. Then S. D. Smith shared a link in his newsletter and I took it as a sign. XD
I’ll probably work on Project Golden Song, but who knows, I might suddenly need to revisit my children’s novel about squirrels and madcap otters.

All right then! I’ll write some scenes for those snowballs someone hit me with.
As for who I’d save… Why can’t they all live? XD
Really though. It depends on who I’m answering as: the reader or the writer. As the reader, I don’t want to see Joseph, Amelia, or Berik die. As the writer, I see a plausible reason for any of…[Read more]

Yep, we’re behind. Absolutely wiped off the map, wot. It’s just the way it’s been, wot. Life, you know. The real wringer.
*Takes off hare ears* I like how this is going. I will be furious if you kill them, but also… I really like these scenes. The dungeons plus the hope that the Allied Armies will come in time is a great mix.…[Read more]

Well… It’s a long one. I hope you don’t mind how much I wrote your characters. 😉
Reúven
They had exited the bus by an apartment complex. Reúven followed Liora while she continued to steady the young girl. Well, young was relative. They looked of an age if he thought about it.
Lelo set down the little boy, who clung to his pant leg s…[Read more]

“I’m Brea,” she said as she began putting his books in order. “Is it okay if I work at the same table as you?”
“Je… Yeah. Of course. I’m Viktor.” He grinned and joined her. His English book had a dent on the cover, but the more dese…[Read more]

Y’all. I’m so excited. XD I did a tag for my sister’s present (name blocked by a tube of watercolor), and I really like how it turned out. It’s taken me months of sporadic fiddling, but I finally got up the nerve to put watercolor on a person like this.

It is a cute piece. I like it. It’s an unusual style. I keep going back to look at it. 🙂
I agree with Min and Koshka. Looks like you have some good ideas there.

Good question! It’s been a while. Here’s a revamp of his old intro.
Viktor
Life is a confusing thing. When it gets turned upside down, it’s even more so. One moment you’re a young refugee in a foster system, and then the next you’ve been given a dream, a hope, and a nightmare all in one.
Basically what happens when you find your…[Read more]

Here we go!
Viktor (Library)
The book was thick. Too thick. Viktor rubbed his forehead where a sharp pain had started. He had not realized how much he had fallen behind in the shuffle between houses. Maybe if this was his mother tongue it would make sense.
He slapped the book shut. If he had to wait until Reúven could…[Read more]
