I was researching for writing tips and saw that people say you should not use Alliterations? My main charcters name is ” Shauna Sarah Smith”, I really like the sound of her name, but should I change it? Why shouldent we use alliterations? Thanks!

Also, hello! I’m Janellebelovedpig, a new creation in Christ. I am also the youngest of 11 homeschooled siblings, salesclerk, and a writing Christian. Writing is one of my hobbies. Obviously. 😉 I keep up a blog and tiny YouTube channel with songs, poems, and a few stories. Crafts are also a fond past time…[Read more]

Thank you so much!
Yeah, those are great points about Hind’s Feet on High Places that I hadn’t thought about. I’m so thankful our Lord doesn’t just pop on the scene when we’re desperate, but He’s there every step– joy or trouble. I’m excited for the scene in my allegory where Little One realizes she was never as alone as she felt.…[Read more]

Hi, welcome to Kingdom Pen! I’m Janellebelovedpig, a new creation in Christ, the youngest of 11 homeschooled siblings, salesclerk, and a writing Christian.
Hmm, some questions for you:
Do you play any instruments?
Do you have any siblings?
And are there any character(s) in your story(ies) inspired by people you know?

So far my goals are going well, part of my goal was joining a writing community, and I’m here, so I think that goal was accomplished.
@euodia-vision
That’s great! 😁 Yeah, after CWW I wanted a writing community too. I looked on Facebook for Christian writing groups, but those are huge and not personal and I sort of felt a little lost. I wanted a…[Read more] -

Cool! Yay! A fellow Penguin! One thing about that week I really loved was finding a group of young girls who were friends and writers, about the same age as I was when I started writing with my friends. It was cool to kinda come back to my youth. And also speak in as an “older sister” in the way I wished I had a mentor or someone…[Read more]

Hi! I’ve seen a few posts about some people being at CWW and I think that’s really cool how there is a virtual fellowship of young Christian writers in the same circles.
How are y’all’s writing goals going so far?

This isn’t the prettiest rhythm, but I love the heart.
Lord don’t let me
walk with You with my dregs
when I’ve spent
all of myself with the rest.
I’m surrounded by distracting tolls
when You by right
should own my best.
Fix my broken eyes to purely
and firstly view
working and walking wholly
with the fullest of me for You.
(Also, do…[Read more]

Hey! How’s your allegory going? I’ve begun writing one of my own, an autobiographical biography– that makes writing easier because I know what God has taught me and then I just have to translate what that looks like for my characters and setting.
My favorite allegory would be Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard. I’m…[Read more]
