Snapper

So excited to say HELLO DEKREEL!  I thought my signature was pretty lousy, so thank you!  I was looking at your signature wishing I could come up with something that clever.

What is MBTI?

I now know what WIP means.  Thank you!

In responce to Grace I mentioned a few favorite books.

@ariel-ashira Hello and welcome!!!!  I’m so excited that there’s another person here who writes historical fiction!  (Most people around here write fantasy, as I’m sure you’ve noticed.)  His-fic is my favorite genre, thought I write a lot of contemporary realistic fiction as well.  Do you ever write contemporary, or just historical fiction?

I lik…[Read more]

Oh, okay, cool. 😉 @ariel-ashira

@ariel-ashira  WIP stands for Work In Progress. So whatever book or novella you’re working on is your WIP 😉

@ariel-ashira  *screams in your face* WELCOME TO THE BESTEST PLACE IN CYBERSPACE!!

I’ve said it before, and I’m going to say it again: I love your signature. XD

Do you know your MBTI type? (Did that already get asked…?)

As for your doubting whether or not you belong, you are not alone!! I posted a topic about self-doubt here, when I was…[Read more]

Hello, Elizabeth!  Thank you.

Our family has never had a TV. 🙂

And please excuse my ignorance, but what does WIP mean?

Good to meet you, Kaya!

Favorite movies?  I like “The Robe”(19–) and “Ben-Hur”(1969) a lot.  I also recently fell in love with Dreamworks animated “Prince of Egypt”.  All those movies also have fantastic soundtracks!  What kind do you like?

Hello there! @ariel-ashira Welcome to the forum!

My name’s Elizabeth. I’ve been on the forum for about a year now, but I’m still struggling with comparing myself to the crazy talented writers ’round these parts, so fear not. You aren’t alone.

Your WIP sounds cool! I’m working on a fantasy novel at the moment, but I also like writing fanfiction,…[Read more]

Thank you Grace!

I actually laughed for the longest time at the term ” bumbling henchman”.  It struck me so funny!

Some of my favorite books are “The Bronze Bow” by Elizabeth George Speare, and “The Cat of Bubastis” by G.A. Henty.  I like those authors a lot.  I also like the unabridged “Ben-Hur” by Lew Wallace, even though its a difficult read.

Hi, Dragon Snapper, most esteemed of writers!  Thank you for your comment.

*sighs of relief*

I like to write both poems and stories.  I dont write much fantasy. My favorite kinds of stories to write are ones that have real historical figures in them that I base the story around, like Jesus or Joseph.

Or Perpetua.  Ever heard if her?  She was…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira Welcome to the bestistest place on the Internet! I’m glad you’re here to join us.

Just a few words of encouragement – if you write, you’re a writer, and it doesn’t really matter how good you are so long as you keep growing. I think we all struggle with comparison here on the Forum (like, there are published authors hanging around…[Read more]

Oh, thank you, @dekreel!  I would just LOVE to be in a story, even if it takes a while!!

Ok. Lets see.

I am fifteen, a girl, and have medium length curly brown hair and blue eyes.  I would prefer to be a human, as I dont know what else I would be.  The only magical powers I have is that I can enchant or cast a spell on anything by singing in a…[Read more]

Ignore this. It posted twice.

This is a great idea for a topic! (That I somehow missed…)

@rochellaine Once again, you are most welcome. 🙂 I’ll tag you back because you always seem to have the most unique and inspiring thoughts, which have caused me to think deeper about my writing.

@daeus for saying things like this:

(This is actually one of the first things I read b…[Read more]

@gabbyj  Oh yessss!!!  Please do!  And I’m glad you like her!  😉

@dekreel  Oh, you don’t have to be sorry!!!  🙂 🙂   You’re good.

@rochellaine

(It’s six o clock here, but I’m so tired I literally tagged you @goodnight)

@seekjustice I actually do like bouncy.  I just don’t quite like the musical interpretation of a few of the songs, which makes them sound rough and broken.  My favorite song would probably be King of New York.  For a good New York accent I’d recommend Peter Falk.  He’s an American comedic character actor who was actually born in New York.  I have…[Read more]

*jumps in brandishing notebook of story prompts*

So, one of the most interesting writing prompts I’ve ever done was to start with J.R.R. Tolkien’s “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit…” and then to work out what hobbits are and why they live in a hole. The only rule is, of course, that your hobbits can’t be anything like Tolkien’s. It…[Read more]
