I’m actually struggling with my WIP at the moment, struggling to find what really excites me about it, but it will cross-over with a couple of other projects and I’m excited to see how those character interactions play out. One of the characters I usually write as a kid will be an adult, for instance, so that’s likely to be fun. 🙂

@kathleenramm Hmm…I’m currently working on maybe four or five things. I’ll just say the ones I’m most excited for.
For the one I’m drafting I can’t wait to get to the interactions with the villains. It’s going to be excellent.
For the one I’m plotting I can’t wait to start writing it. I’m looking forward to it a lot, since I’ve been planning…[Read more]

@lydia-s Crime is very interesting because it allows me to explore the motivations of a sinner while also delivering poetic justice to them at the end. I enjoy conflict like this, so I very much enjoy writing it.
Ey, I went to go watch both Jesus and Sampson in theatres! I do love Sight and Sound. I hope that I can watch Esther sometime too!…[Read more]

What are you most excited about in your current WIP at this moment?
Right now I’m currently outlining a novel with my siblings and a short story on my own.So at the moment what’s making me most excited is thinking up fresh ideas and putting together like pieces in a puzzle.
Especially with the short story, I’m currently working on, because I…[Read more]

Wow, I’m really thankful for this thread — I didn’t realize there were so many people out there doing similar things as me 😀 (although, really, as a Kapeefer I really should have seen it coming…)
@writerlexi1216 I guess I’ll just share a bit of my current WIP…my protagonist starts out in the “real world”, where she ends up getting sucked…[Read more]

Hi! Welcome to the Kingdom Pen forum!
Your idea of making a Historical fiction novel based off of Bible characters sounds really interesting, what Bible story and characters are you thinking of basing a story off of?
I’m homeschooled as well! I’m pretty sure most of us here are a part of the homeschooling gang, which is cool. XD Have…[Read more]

Hey! Welcome to the Kingdom Pen forum!
Ah, I love Story Embers! They’re really awesome, and I’m friends with some of the people who are a part of the team there.
Have I heard of Adventures in Odyssey? I was pretty much raised by it! XD We own all the tapes and CDs from 1990’s to the 2015. Yeah… that’s a lot of ice-cream and…[Read more]

AWESOME idea Daisy! However right now I’m in the middle of the outlining process of my novel, so it may be a bit before I can do a writing sprint.Though now thinking about it, I’m I do have an idea for a short story that can be outlined in a day, sooo…. Once I got a basic sketch of that short story, I’ll be so ready to join the…[Read more]

Well, maybe somehow your fictional world is connected to other worlds, including our reality, so that it sometimes is exposed to the cultures of other worlds? Then that would explain being able to have the Bible with real people and events in your fictional world. Or maybe you make it more of an allegory with characters that…[Read more]

@writerlexi1216 I’d just typed out a whole answer to this and the page disappeared….no matter. I shall try again.
So I myself am writing a fantasy where I have portrayed characters reading the Bible or going to devos or praying. The real world exists alongside my fantasy worlds, and since heaven and hell are also part of that world, there is…[Read more]

Lin replied to the topic What's your process of creating a main character for your story? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years, 5 months ago
@kathleenramm Probably because I realised that it had potential to be something really good…and that I wanted to traditionally publish it…so I waited years for my writing skills to improve before attempting to start it now…and also because I decided I wanted to try something new, and that I wanted to see if I could produce works that kids…[Read more]

Yeah, no story or character is made it quite the same way.
What made you decide to do hardcore outlining for The Mafia of Heather Flights as apposed to other stories?
Me too! I love books where the story truly is about the main character, and not just about what the main character is doing, which is important of…[Read more]
