Sooooo many. I have no fewer than 80 story ideas on my list. BUT, since I have to pick one… I read Love and the Sea and Everything in Between by Brian McBride a few months ago and loved the overall tone/feel of it. Between that and other aesthetic things I accumulated around the same time, I decided I really want to write a contemporary novel…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Ooh, I’ll have to use that term from now on. A bit more positive.
So happy to think they’re creative! I hope if they do exist someday people will read them…

Lin replied to the topic Is there a character type (cliched or not) that you love… in the forum Characters 5 years, 7 months ago
@kathleenramm It involves two characters who are basically in a love square because they don’t realize each other’s secret identities. I’ve heard it’s quite amazing.

Rom-coms aren’t usually my taste, but Lady Samantha sounds really interesting. Her dressing up as a maid to spy sounds totally up my alley. XD
Yeah, your probably right. I’ve read like, umm… ZERO romances, so no wonder they seem hard to write.
Woah. The Daughters of the Seven Seas series sounds like a really fun, interesting, but…[Read more]

@gracie-j Thanks for all the tips! I really appreciate it!
(Also me: *looks at Weebly*)
Also both of your sites look really good! I’m quite impressed!

@gracie-j Since the time periods that I want to write don’t really have books (or the right type of books) for them, Wikipedia is my trusty friend. I will always rely on Wikipedia.
And I probably will go into historical fiction someday. Thanks for the encouragement; I don’t mind long paragraphs. I’ll just get through all these story ideas…[Read more]

@gracie-j Tate would go by drowning. It’s more aesthetic that way, though undoubtedly quite painful.
Also I think most of them would rather live at the beach, as they haven’t seen the ocean before.
Would your character rather edit your books for you or write your books for you?

@e-k-seaver Rainan would kill his best friend in a heartbeat, sadly. Aven would rather be killed by his worst enemy (the aforementioned Zedek).
Hmm…for the rest of you…Â Does your character prefer popsicles or ice cream?

@gracie-j Going to the Mob Museum was probably the singular most interesting museum I’ve ever been to. And the amount of time I spend on the Organized Crime pages of Wikipedia is unhealthy.
Whoa, I’d love to write historical fiction if it wasn’t for the fact that researching is a big pain for me. Maybe I will one day. Your ideas all sound really…[Read more]

@gracie-j I was thinking about Wix! They seem really easy to use (also their domain name is much shorter).
@e-k-seaver I might try WordPress as well. Seems pretty popular among authors.
(Though personally I’m wondering if I should combine my author and music stuff to make one website or make separate…)

@gracie-j Wow ya’ll really like to dig in deep…
Mmm…Zedek would rather have mercy. He is a lawful good, after all. And his greatest enemy is his brother. So of course he’d rather let him go. (But he didn’t… *deep sigh*)
Shade Seneca would have revenge and die in the process. In fact, that’s probably where his character arc is going. He…[Read more]

@gracie-j You have a blog/website, right? I wanted to create a thread to ask about it, but the forum wouldn’t let me XD so I guess I’ll just ask here… Any, uh, tips? What domains/builders to use?

@kathleenramm On the topic of secret identities, have you watched Miraculous Ladybug?
@nova21 I like the tsundere character. You know, the Grumpy Cat. Will kill you if their coffee is not right, but if you’re dying he’ll cry. Also I really like cinnamon roll characters. They’re so cute and fluffy.

@kathleenramm Hmm…I kind of want to write some cliched system novels sometime. Maybe one about a restaurant system, and another about leveling up in a truck…
I also want to work on my unsatisfactory endings. You know, because a satisfactory ending allows you to stop thinking about it, but a good unsatisfactory ending makes you think about the…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Hmm… Christa would definitely prefer the coldest place in the world, since she has ice powers and is used to living up in the North anyway. River, on the other hand, would probably choose the hottest place since he lives in a sandy town. Or the coldest place. Maybe he’s sick of heat. But then again, people from warm places can’t…[Read more]

Barrett would like to sit on ceilings, so he can sneak around in places.
And he would like to live in the hottest place in the world because he could sell more ice-cream.
And here’s is my question for your characters: Would your character rather know the truth and know the horrifying reality that he/she is a…[Read more]
