Here we go, introducing Peri, Hazel, Mabel, Ester, Sebastian and Julia, my characters from various universes! I’m using a handful of questions I picked up from the archives. These aren’t even all the answers but I don’t want to make a post that’s a mile long and I’m gonna wait to see if people want more. Feel free to ask me or any one of these characters questions if you’re so inclined 🙂
What’s your favorite food?
Peri: “I’ll never say no to potato chips. Specifically sour cream and onion. *smirks* What, you didn’t expect that answer? You expected something more along the lines of salmon meunière? Heh, must be the clothes.”
Hazel: “I’ll eat most fruits, vegetables or grains. Corn’s my favorite. Not the healthiest though so I can’t live off it no matter how much I may want to. I despise beets.”
Mabel: “Bugs :>” … *noms passing gnat*
Ester: “A traveler from the far east visited Fellis (my hometown) once and let me try his homeland’s delicacy: chocolate. An inch-by-inch-by-inch cube of it. It was heavenly. Everytime an opportunity passes to taste anything related to chocolate, I will pounce on it.”
Sebastian: “I’ll go for anything sweet. Especially a warm fruity dessert. Ooooooh, I could go for a pie or a cobbler of any kind right now… “
Julia: “Ice cream!!! There’s a burger place down the highway that offers free soft serve with their meals and it is honestly the BESTEST idea ever!”What makes life worth every struggle?
Peri: “Solving problems. Making friends. Getting rewarded for curiosity… for once.”
Hazel: “Those rare moments where I find myself properly bonding with members of my tribe. I can see myself more clearly when that happens. Wish it lasted…”
Mabel: “A good tree to nap in… but who says life’s a struggle?”
Ester: “Sitting under a tree, or on a rivebank, or in a cozy room with a cup of tea and a fire, and just being… present.”
Sebastian: “Those I love. Bottom line. During those times when nothing else matters, they matter all the more.”
Julia: “Hmm… *sparkle hands* The Power of Friendship! Heehee! But seriously, when life gets me down, having friends nearby to comfort me or even just to share a quick moment with perks me up everytime. And when they’re not around, well, every stranger is a potential friend. I guess you could call me a people person!”What’s your greatest achievement?
Peri: “Every project I’m able to finish. Every problem I’m able to solve. Also this.” *holds up large warhammer powered with electricity which she crafted herself*
Hazel: “I saved my sister once. During a raid. Manage to club down a bandit before he could shoot an arrow at her. I don’t always get a chance to really protect anyone in my clan so… that was really somethin’.”
Mabel: “The rat I caught yesterday. You shoulda seen it! Too bad I don’t eat ‘em, it coulda fed me for days! >w<”
Ester: “I suppose, killing the dire bear that almost killed Ereb (that’s my father). That’s what it should be anyway. I’m just glad it’s over. I still kept the skull.”
Sebastian: “Ever caught and lifted a small shark out of the water by nothing but a standard fishing hook?”
Julia: “Oh, oh! There was this one time while I was playing four-square at recess I was able to stay king for four whole rounds! FOUR!!! I couldn’t believe it! I was so shocked that on the fifth round I totally stopped paying attention and didn’t catch the ball in time when it hit my square! Oh well, next time my head stays in the game! Hehe~”How would you react if someone insulted you to your face?
Peri: “I don’t usually take it to heart. There’s almost always some underlying reason buried beneath those kinds of words that shouldn’t concern me.”
Hazel: *automatically bristles* *notices herself brisling* “Ahem. Well, I guess now you know. Just add a club-their-skull-in instinct. Heh, heh…”
Mabel: “Insult em back, BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”
Ester: *shrug* “Offended.”
Sebastian: “Activate Snark Mode.”
Julia: “Oh, I think I could stand up for myself pretty good. I’d look that bully right in the eye and say… um… sayyyy……. yeah, no, I’d just stand there and cry. Let’s be real, heh… I wish I could think of something clever to say!”If you could have a one-hour conversation with any person, who would it be?
Peri: “Besides the friends I already have…. Depends who I find most interesting that day. If you had asked me a couple months ago…. hm……… ah well. Forget it. Next?”
Hazel: “My sister, Hever. Not that I don’t already have conversations with her that can last hours uninterrupted. But who else in this world am I going to trust enough?”
Mabel: “Sounds boring.”
Ester: “Maybe- hmmm… It’s hard to pick. I know some great people. Ereb, my mother, my friends from that adventurer gang, *sigh* Orble……”
Sebastian: “Oh. Hmm… That’s… a tough one. There’s my buddy Dwayne. But while we’ve had plenty a life chat it’s not the talkative kind of friendship. We mess around, we chill. Other than that, well… I guess I’ll have to go with… the mayor? You’ve met her, I think. She’s really something, isn’t she. (They’re clueless. Good.)”
Julia: “Oh, don’t make me decide!! I met this new friend Haley not too long ago and her life when she lived in New York City sounds sooooo interesting! But I’ve also been hanging out with Victor more and more lately. Can’t go wrong with him. Ohh but my old friends back in Tennessee! I wonder how they’re doing? I should send Lauryne a letter and see if her parents finally let her get a phone, haha! But I also love Veronica and Joyce and Jason and Darcy and Retta and Pat and Garth and Bennett and Emma and Phoebe and Hugo and……”What would your perfect day look like?
Peri: “A day of discovery. Be it a place I’ve never ventured, a food I’ve never tried, a philosophy I’ve never considered, a new method of thinking, crafting, creating. Bonus points if my curiosity doesn’t bite me in the tail for discovering these things.”
Hazel: “No raids. No fight breakouts. No bad rainstorms or flooding. No hairs on the back of my neck standing on end. I can farm and forage to my heart’s content. Just… peace.”
Mabel: “Lotsa trees to swing on, lotsa food to munch on, lotsa humansfolk to pester, and a good strong limb or cozy hollow log to snooze in. But, that’s everyday anyway. ^w^”
Ester: “It would be quiet. Probably in my forest. Journaling, hunting, talking to a loved one, one or all of those activites. All I would know all day is where I am, and what I see and hear. Nothing to barge in and remind me the complexities of life.
Sebastian: “Anything with a friend or two close by. I’m not picky.”
Julia: “You keep asking such hard questions! Ugh! Would it look like going to the beach? A road trip to Aunt Wanda’s? A helicopter ride? The museum? The zoo? A ShinyShadezz concert? Is it physically possible to manage all of those in one day?? And can I bring a friend? Maybe three? Heck, can we rent a bus?You can pronounce it however you want.
…I may or may not have liked this idea so much I spent three hours writing answers from the POVs of six different characters… I’ll share when it’s not the middle of the night haha.

If I may add my two cents: an ACTUALLY MATURE romance story with TWO ACTUALLY MATURE human beings who respect each other through and through and even if they break up they’re as courteous as can be

I’m not too bad. I’ve been focusing my energy on drawing and other things instead of writing over the past few years, although I do have an idea for a writing project that I just need to get over the writer’s block for haha. How’ve you been???

I would like to bring this back once again. Good place to chat while you’re working on stuff. It’s supposed to help people be motivated to write if they know someone else is doing it with you while also chatting with you……. emphasis on *supposed to*, I’m notoriously bad at focusing when I’m talking to people haha, but I’ve always loved the idea and I feel like y’all would enjoy it too. If you’re confused what this topic is for exactly you can look at the first message.

@keilah-h Hi um I am so so so sorry I’ve been unfaithful with posting here. I’m gonna go ahead and withdraw Hazel for now so Feather can do their own thing. I guess we can say Hazel ran away in fright haha.
I’ve always been like this in roleplay-like situations… I’ll be super excited about it, prepare a character, brainstorm ideas, write the first segment…. and then immediately lose interest. I don’t know why, it’s really annoying…. -_-
