@jenwriter17 Thank you!
I would probably have to say Captain America. I like Batman, but D.C. tends to be more dark and brooding, so I tend to stick with Marvel.
@jenwriter17 @dekreel Oh my goodness! I’m so crazy! I even have a decal on my car, and I totally forgot to mention what a huge Star Wars fan I am! Kylo, though? Sometimes he’s pretty…[Read more]

@dekreel Wow! Thanks for the info! If I can find the classics, I’ll give them a try. Meanwhile, on to season 1, episode 6!

@dekreel He said the episode from TOS is called “Dagger of the Mind.”
@kaya-young @jenwriter17 I’m sorry I dropped out for a while, but I’m going to do the same after posting this. I’ll might be here for a little bit tomorrow, but probably won’t be back until Monday.
So goodbye! And happy writing to you all!

@dekreel I think I’m just having a hard time with the 2005 cheesy graphics and jokes. Overall, the plot is very interesting, so I try to see past those things.
I’d heard that the older ones were really good! I’m watching the new ones on Prime Video. Are the oldies on YouTube?

@slylilhuntress *hands your a book and chocolate* Hello, Fellow Introvert! Friends can be a wee bit hard to make when you’re an introvert. Seriously, I’ve got about three friends (five if you count two people I talk to maybe three times a year). There’s God, a friend I meet once or twice a week, and a friend who lives halfway across the country.…[Read more]

(Coming a bit late to this, sorry — hurrah for Spring Break and a chance to catch up on the forum! — but I sympathize with this a lot. So I thought I’d add my two cents.)
When I first started writing, I didn’t quite get that other living writers existed. I mean, if you’d asked me were new books getting published every year, I’d…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 @dekreel Looking up the meanings of Biblical names is always interesting, because most of them do have real significance to the stories! 🙂 Here is one of my favorite examples of that.
Something I thought when reading the passage that we have heard Ruth’s “I’ll go where you go” speech so often we forget the true significance of…[Read more]

@dekreel yeah, I think in certain circumstances and stories the meaning of names is significant.
It’s hard to imagine that God could care for every single person. there’s just so many people. but He does, ’cause He’s God. Which is a comforting thought actually…..

Anyone around?

@dekreel Okay! I asked my brother this morning what he thought of Chain of Command, and he said
“There…are…FOUR…LIGHTS!!!!!!”
😀 😀 😀 He actually said that, and then told me to write it exactly like that when I replied to you.
When I asked him what he actually thought of it he said that he likes it and it’s considered one of the really…[Read more]

@dekreel Okayyy, but it’s really late here, so I might wait for that discussion until morning. 😀
It was originally intended to be set in the 60s, but I think I’m moving it back to the 50s. Do you ever write historical fiction?

@dekreel @ariella-newheart *realizes I missed a WHOLE DISCUSSION of Star Trek* *cries*
Anyway, to clear things up, you’re both right. 😀 Captain Jean-Luc Picard was written to be French, but the guy who plays him is Patrick Stewart, a British actor. So, he usually speaks with a British accent, though he speaks a few sentences of French several…[Read more]

@dekreel The plot is in place? That’s always a good thing! 😀
I’m trying to work on writing my his-fic short story and not get distracted. 🙂
I’m also staying up purposefully, not distractedly, waiting for my brother to come home from the airport. (Remember I told you I couldn’t ask him about the Star Trek episode because he was out of s…[Read more]
