I realised that after I’d written it, but I figured everyone would have enough common sense to work out what I meant 😛
Yeah, I really don’t feel like a modern teen most of the time. Someone will babble on about this bloke who is this and that and who’s goodlooking….and I’ll be clueless. I do know a few though, like I know ALL the…[Read more]

@dekreel If you read up a little bit it will make sense!
Especially one that’s just normal looking. I’m not asking too much am I?
Yep! A Tale of Two Cities

@seekjustice You do realize that could mean you are basing a character off of Jane Austen? 🙂
Same!! About the actors, I mean. I really know the names of about five modern actors. But I like watching old 50s tv shows and saying, “Oh, I recognize that guest star. He played the soda jerk in such-and-such movie!” 🙂 I think that actually mak…[Read more]

Yay! I’m glad!! I’m currently doing some characterisations for my novel and scanning pinterest for good models (it’s super hard to find thirty-year-old women on Pinterest!)
We’ve been discussing basing characters off real people and Jane Austen,
Oh and recognising actors by their chins….

Oh, Hooray! I finally got around the quirks in my gmail account and have a google document with the opening of my book!
So please read it and tell me if after reading this much you would keep reading. Or something like that.
Right now I’m not looking for grammar and editing issues, but just trying to make sure that it’s a good idea to c…[Read more]

@dekreel *phew*. Agreed….
I probably have some old (probably better, actually) manga art stashed away somewhere…I might be able to post it..? (If anyone wants…)

@dekreel Thanks! Oh… sorry! Traditional manga reads right to left, top to bottom. Hope that helps!
I learned how to draw eyes from one of my friends. Wait, no. *grins* I actually learned manga from that friend! 😀

@jenwriter17 @dekreel Hmm… do you like these? Honestly, I’m not sure how well they turned out… all of the faces look to oval-like and the hands look weird.

Okay, I’ve got a little bit of clarification to do. 🙂 Mostly because I took a lot of time off from writing for finals last month, and am just getting back into it, so I had kind of forgotten a couple of the plans I had made for this book. Therefore, when I wrote the synopsis I missed a few things.
@seekjustice and @jenwriter17 This is not a h…[Read more]

@dekreel I love the Canterbury Tales. I studied a number of the tales in college and have taught different stories from it in my English classes. I do need to second @sleepwalkingmk, though, and say that you need to be careful about which you read since some are pretty raunchy. I’d be happy to give you recommendations on which to read or which to…[Read more]

@dekreel if you name a character Peri, I think Dot would be a cute last name. 😀 Maybe its too cheesey for your taste though.

@dekreel 🙂 I’m an ENFJ, or at least that’s what the MBTI told me… although a lot of the percentages were close.
The DISC test gave me an I-C. Too bad there wasn’t a U and then I could be an ‘I see you’
😀 And Stan…
Well, he breaks the tests.

@dekreel 😀 Awesome!
I can’t wait to read it.
That’s fine with me that you switched me out as a character. I change characters sometimes too.
Stan and I will be sitting here waiting for it, munching on popcorn and raspberries

@dekreel It’s a college class. Technically I’m in my senior year of high school, but I’m taking college classes at our community college… Complicated 🙂 How is your KPA going?

@dekreel I’ve actually only read a little bit of The Canterbury Tales for school. I did like it though, and asked my mom if I could buy the whole book (because there was only a little bit in the British literature book I was reading)
