        Hello! I’m kind of just hanging around on the internet at the moment, but I really need to do some more characterisation!

          @seekjustice Okay, I’m (kinda) working on my Western again.

          I read your article and liked it. 🙂

          I have to ask…Is that Grant Gustin (the Flash) on your profile page?

              @rochellaine

              Cool! I haven’t read the full excerpt yet, but I mean too!

              The Jane Austen one? Thank you!

              Um…haha, yes it is. I’d forgotten that was there. it was a collage for a story I wrote about a year ago, and it used to be super hard to post collages on here. Instead of turning up on the forum thread, it ended up as my background, so I left it. I hadn’t remembered that it was still there though!

                    @seekjustice Yes, just the Jane Austen post.  I haven’t had time to read anything else yet…

                    Ha!  I’m so proud of myself for recognizing his chin! 😀 I like being able to do things like that.

                    You’re doing characterization…I was just talking with @kaya-young about basing my characters off of real people.  Do you ever do that?  (Despite the disclaimers that we’re supposed to put in the beginning of every book: “Not based on any person, living or dead, etc.”)

                      @rochellaine

                      fair enough! I’m glad you liked it!

                      😀 I like recognising actors too, it makes me feel like a real teenager. Unfortunately the actors I like aren’t very well-known, so it kind of spoils it, but oh well!

                      Those disclaimers make me laugh when they’re in the front of historical books with real people in them 😀

                      I think that I do do it, but it’s not usually that I choose someone and go, hey, I’m going to make you a character! It’s more that after writing a character chart or a scene, I’ll realise that they’re kind of like so-and-so.

                        @kaya-young So far what happens next is Uncle Bill takes Chara hiking. 🙂

                        Does that satisfy your need?

                            @dekreel

                            Yay! I’m glad!! I’m currently doing some characterisations for my novel and scanning pinterest for good models (it’s super hard to find thirty-year-old women on Pinterest!)

                            We’ve been discussing basing characters off real people and Jane Austen,

                            Oh and recognising actors by their chins….

                                @seekjustice You do realize that could mean you are basing a character off of Jane Austen? 🙂

                                Same!! About the actors, I mean.  I really know the names of about five modern actors.  But I like watching old 50s tv shows and saying, “Oh, I recognize that guest star.  He played the soda jerk in such-and-such movie!” 🙂  I think that actually makes me even less like a modern teenager though?  Oh well.

                                It actually is midnight where I live, so the original quote works for me!

                                  @seekjustice  “Recognizing actors by their chins?!” XD Sounds like a great conversation

                                  I’ll bet it’s hard 8|

                                  Is it the novel based on a Dickens book?

                                  You can pronounce it however you want.
