@abigail-m The 2014 Maleficent film was pretty good, from what I remember. But I was a kiddo back then so I don’t know if my judgement was good.
Trilogy? I think they’ve released five by now… I remember reading the last one first because I thought it wasn’t related. I have no memory of reading the rest, though, besides the first.
I should read…[Read more]

@millennium I used to outline my things, but for my current project I decided to try and pants the whole thing. I have the ending clear, as well as a few key scenes, but everything else will be left up to the spur of the moment.
I think for the middle parts I just usually feel my way along. You said that you have a clear start and an exciting…[Read more]

Throws WIP through a window and rushes in.Â
I have a problem.
Two actually.
Here is the first:
My WiP has a fuzzy ending, clear start, and exciting climax, with a few bit in the middle. But I have loads of chapters in between leading up to certain points that I don’t know how to fill. So I how do I write interesting, yet plot-boosting middle…[Read more]

@gracie-j Your tips to @devastate-lasting about kiss scenes were super helpful! I meant to ask about a kiss scene I plan to rewrite because I was in a rush (aka NaNoWriMo) and it basically turned into a lot of YA fluff. I think I know how to approach it better now, thanks 🙂

@abigail-m Peter and the Starcatchers! It’s been forever since I read them, and I don’t remember which ones I read, but I remember liking them a lot!

For one thing, I always try to remember WHY I write and why I want to write a particular story. And when I sit down to write I always try to make sure I’m removing distractions and doing the best I can to help myself focus (like keeping my workspace clean, using the pomodoro technique, using music to get into the mood, remembering to take breaks,…[Read more]

@larchness Oscar Wilde has some really good stuff; I’ll never forget “The Happy Prince”. Harry Potter’s probably one of the only fantasy series I’ve actually enjoyed, I don’t like that much high fantasy. If you haven’t checked out Bryan Davis’s Dragons in Our Midst series I would totally recommend that! One of the few Christian fantasy books that…[Read more]

@larchness Ooh, brothers! I do love brother dynamics. And J.R.R. Tolkien is of course of the best.
What other fantasy books have you read?

@gracie-j Ah, thanks for your words! I appreciate you taking up the time to type up such a long post for me. Very good points, as well.
(Not gonna lie though at this point most of the Webtoons I read are romance so maybe, just maybe, I’m opening up to the genre a bit more…)Watching you and William converse is so….how do I put it. It’s like…[Read more]

Hello there! I’m Chelsea R.H., otherwise known as SeekJustice!
I really enjoy history and would have loved the chance to study it (weirdly enough, I went the dog training/disbility care route). What are your favourite periods/things to study?
Ooh, I have so many fantasy recommendations! What are your preferences (subgenres, YA,…[Read more]
