@kate-flournoy Well, I’ve never used sawdust before. I believe if it were fresh it would already be sterile, but if it were aged it would have been infected with competitive spawn. I can’t be quite sure of that though. Most times things are sterilized by heat.

@kate-flournoy No, I’ve had some very good quality tomatoes I’ve grown myself, but still… I am however a salsa maniac. I do expect to like raw tomatoes some day, but it might take a little while. A long road to a far away place.

Say, you ever tried growing mushrooms? It’s not that hard. I’m growing shitake right now and they’re turning out quite well.

Because when you think about it, (I assume you’re talking about Song of the Sword here) since the Prince was down amongst the people as one of them, it makes sense that he would be considered one of them. If you don’t capitalize it, the sense of him becoming one of them is intensified.

Announcement. The Death Of Ivan Ilych by Leo Tolstoy is officially recommended. The first chapter doesn’t particularly stand out in my opinion, but it is fine and the rest of the book is very good. It is also a short read. The theme is mortality and it has some great wit and a great ending.

@hope I don’t see any problem with it, but it just doesn’t seem necessary.
