@gideon-sowdon I hope it’s a good idea, because that’s how I’m writing my current story! 😉 I’m actually relatively pleased with how it’s coming… but I may end up switching to third person for all but the MC if I feel that the voices don’t sound different enough. I think it’ll be okay… but you really have to think completely different when…[Read more]

Hullo Sarah! Thanks so much for asking! I’ve had a very busy schedule recently, and I’m not sure when it will calm down enough for me to be back on here regular. 🙁 I had a wonderful Christmas and can’t wait until I’m able to join the conversations again! God bless you!

@kate-flournoy Eustace! From Voyage of the Dawn Treader! 😀
That is an excellent movie if you’re not comparing it to the book the whole way through… 😛

@writefury Yes siree, sir. That is me. @anne-of-lothlorien came over and we did some fun pictures; that one is my favorite, I do believe. 🙂
And you really should say something soon about Dallas’s injuries so we don’t completely forget about them… 😉

*screams* This is awesome! I LOVE IT!!! We need more “deleted scenes” from Dallas’s perspective. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
DAAAAAAALLLLLLLAAAAAAASSSSSSS!!!
Wait, I forgot about his injuries… HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT HIS INJURIES?!?!?! *whimpers* My poor, poor Dallas.
*ahem* Well, maybe that was just a little over the top; but…[Read more]

The reality of our world is clearer seen through the unreality of imaginary worlds.
@Kate-Flournoy I love the wording you used here. @Hope once you’re done with NaNo, could you maybe possibly do a photo thing with this? It’s just too perfect.
And to answer your question, @Kate-Flournoy, I’ve not forgotten yet. Although it has gotten to the point…[Read more]

@Kate-Flournoy Well, “normal” is a relative term… 😛
Yeah, that’s kind of happened to me before. I talk about my characters every once in a while, and about whether or not so and so should die or if I want this person’s best friend to be courting this person’s brother or a different random guy, or whether that character should die or just lose…[Read more]

Yes, that’s much better. And yes, your vote is ultimately between you and God, and if I really felt I could not in good conscience vote for Trump, I wouldn’t. It would definitely be a matter of extreme prayer.
But thankfully I don’t have to make that choice yet. Hopefully I never will. 😛

@Kate-Flournoy I’m sorry, I don’t quite understand the question… you mean you quote your characters and other people don’t get it because the book isn’t published yet?
Here’s a question @anne-of-lothlorien requested I ask, word for word.
“Have you ever asked your imaginary counterpart in your mind why you talk to him/her? I did the other day,…[Read more]

@Emma-Flournoy Yes, I have a problem with Trump too. I agree he has a terrible record. But in recent days -I’ll admit he’s flip-floppy and this could always change- but in recent days he has surrounded himself by intelligent, well respected people, some of whom are even notable Christians. I’m thinking specifically of Pence and Dr. Ben Carson. I…[Read more]

‘And really, when you think about it, we’re always voting for “evil” unless we’re voting for Christ. Some people are far, far worse than others, but no one is absolutely perfect.’
Yes, that’s true. Everyone is a sinner, but I believe it’s possible to discern the difference between someone who’s actually trying to live like Christ and someone…[Read more]

Also, if I had been voting, I wouldn’t necessarily vote for someone not Trump because I thought they had any chance. I would vote for whoever my conscience would allow me to, whether or not I thought they could win. My responsibility comes to God before country.

@emma-flournoy Yes! I once read a book that I thought was based completely on historical events, and then there was a note at the end letting me know that the main characters were both fictional and yes this one person was real but not everything happened exactly the way we had to portray it in this condensed setting… and it’s just like,…[Read more]

Meh, I’m in the same boat as Kate. Still 17. 😛 Although I will be brave and say I would have voted for Trump. I DON’T like him, but I’ve heard way too much about Hilary. And Pence is nice (I may be slightly biased since I’m from Indiana 😉 ) so that would have made it easier. I just hope I have better options in 4 years when I can vote. 😛

@dragon-snapper I think it’s because it’s something we haven’t personally experienced, but that sounds enthralling. A sense of adventure, like you said. Just as the idea of unknown lands magnetized explorers like Leif and Columbus, so the idea of mythical things captivates us today. We’ve discovered our entire planet (well, we don’t know…[Read more]

@Emma-Flournoy That is a correct definition, but not a complete one. Eschatology is the study of last things, which includes all of the end times, but also includes things like death in general. We spent a few weeks talking about death and what happens to us when we die. Now we’re talking about the Resurrection! 😀 (Although trying to get everyone…[Read more]
