haha oh man, siblings are God’s way of testing our patience… I ought to know I have five younger ones XD

I suppose it would be accurate when I tell people; “I love my siblings… but I do not always like them.”

Thanks for the input it was very helpful!

    🙂

  • @iluvhim18

Thanks! no that’s very helpful and I’m glad you said it, I like having several views on things!

I have heard that some brothers and sisters are friends and enemies at the same time, it’s always slightly puzzled and amused me.

the sitting next to sibling but not hugging thing makes sense, being close to another person you love and…[Read more]

thanks! I am shy about sharing my work… but I am trying to be more confident about my story, seeing as the friends reading it have been pestering me for the last year and a half to publish it.

    here is my readers’ favorite part from book one (I assume this is fine to post?);

(they have escaped into a tunnel at this point, it…

Okay! thanks for the tips… they’re super helpful, and they line up with what I have heard from my friends for sure. I just come from a very awesome family who loves hugs and there’s nobody who doesn’t hug, even with the guy cousins.

The sarcasm and comeback rule is so true, even with guys who are acquaintances, and oh man it’s…[Read more]

  • Hi I need help with my novel in making a realistic brother and sister relationship they’re teenagers, and really good buddies.
I don’t have a brother my age, so I don’t quite know how to write that kind of friendship

  • @Joy-caroline
    ok thanks!!
that sounds so cool about the stories!!

  • By the way I am trying to reply to all the different people individually but I’m not sure if it is working…

  • Hi JC!
Romans is amazing book. That sounds really cool about your novel!
Thank you! Short stories are something I have only been doing recently, but I like doing them inspired by pictures, it’s lovely to have that to help me, because my drawings rarely turn out and when I imagine things I see pictures.
    I love the sea!
    Do you like short stories?

  • Hi to you all! Thanks for the welcome 🙂
Yes! Toothless is great, I love the babies Nightfuries, they’re so cute.
I have read the Silmarillion, Book of Lost Tales 1 & 2, Book of Unfinished Tales, Children of Hurin, The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit. I confess my bookshelf is Tolkien and history books for the most part.
    Yes, I do have a few…[Read more]

Well, I can’t pretend to be an expert in this department as I’ve never written for an Indian before (I’m assuming she’s a Native American?), but I’ll do my best to help! 😀 Which part of your character do you feel needs work?

You know that scene? The one you’ve been writing and rewriting in your head for weeks (or, if you’re like me, longer)? The scene you simply cannot wait to get down on the digital paper? The scene where your male MC gets down on one knee and asks your female MC if she will honor him by becoming his bride (though perhaps not in that fashion or in…[Read more]

  • Hello everyone!

Well, the end of my high school career is drawing near, and it’s about time to decide what I’m going to do next. Writing is what makes me happy, so I’m thinking, Lord willing, I’ll go that direction. The problem is that there are many ways of doing this, college being just one of them.

So for those of you who are near to or past…[Read more]

Hi, Anika! Welcome to the forum! I’m Lydia. 🙂

Cool! I love fantasy. Do you have dragons in your world? My main WIP is fantasy, and dragons (Well, there’s just one at first, but that changes near the end. 😉) do make an appearance.

Here are some questions for you, if you like answering them:

    1) Who are your top three favorite…[Read more]

Hi! Welcome to the forum! I’m Lydia. 😀

Wow, it’s awesome that you’ve already finished several novels! Congrats!

Dragons are wonderful, and griffins are as well. I love fantasy! It’s an extremely fun genre to write. That’s what my main WIP is actually. 🙂

I’m homeschooled as well, and though I’m not graduating this year, that event is…[Read more]

No, I haven’t read The Ashtown Burials yet; my brother did though. 🙂 Is that series your favorite from N.D.’s books?

Awesome! I remember The Long Patrol vaguely. It’s been a while since I’ve read it though. 🙂

Cool! My siblings and I are big fans of the series. My favorite is the last book, Ember’s End. 🙂

    @cathrynv

I don’t think I’ve read either of those series, but I think I’ve heard of the Unblemished series. What genre are they?

    1) I’ve never read any of those authors! I bet they’re great though. 🙂 Some of my favorites are Jennifer Erin Valent, S.D. Smith, and J.R.R. Tolkien.

    2) Dracula, another book I have yet to read. (*sighs* Why does my…[Read more]

  • Hi Lin!
I write fantasy with dragons, yes, and owls and griffins and firebirds (cranky phoenixes that can light their feathers on fire and don’t get along with griffins) Also in this same series are certain people who can morph into owls, griffins and dragons depending on their lineage (I suppose that sounds weird outloud).
I have never read or…[Read more]

  • Hello! I am Iris (aka Elfwing)

    I’m new on here.

I like fantasy and griffins and dragons. (Toothless is adorable) I like writing a little too much perhaps, so I started writing seriously about a year and a half ago, and now have lots of fantasy novels ‘done’ and working on another currently. My characters are running amok and don’t do as they’re…[Read more]

Well, first it takes up all my daydreaming hours and my siblings (mainly my two oldest younger) get to listen to me rant on and off for a few weeks/months about various scenes that pop into my head. (They’re great listeners, and thankfully they seem to enjoy hearing my ideas. 😛 ) The scenes then get tucked away into the appropriate…[Read more]
