I’m going to take a break to eat some breakfast. :05 – :07, 747 words. Last line:
Then he turned away, sprinting down the street.
Sooo probably the most boring sentence of the entire scene that I just wrote 😛

Have you read the Green Ember series? That’s definitely one of my favorites.

Hey, these are just hilarious. XD Enjoyed reading them. But like each one is good in some way. It makes me realise how anything badly written can be fixed and made beautiful! 🙂

I don’t think I ever have on purpose, but I’m sure I’ve done it many times without actually realizing it. Have you?

Thank you all so much for the advice!! I am now halfway through the aggravating scene, so I’m glad I stuck with it. Thanks again!

I just push through it because I find it really difficult to write out of order. It’s too confusing and messy for my brain to handle, but everyone works differently, so if that is not your thing, don’t keep trying to push though when you can write out of order. 🙂

ahh that. Yeah I get that often lol
I either
1:Â walk away for half an hour and come back,
2: listen to music that helps get me in the mood
or 3: skip it and continue the plot and then go back because sometimes filling what happens after really helps

Well, most of the time I just push right through it, but if a scene’s coming up and I don’t know what’s gonna happen AND I just don’t feel like writing it, I’ll just put: something really cool happens and move on. I’ve only ever done that once, tho, so it’s no a super common thing for me. 😉

This is very random, but when y’all are writing and you get stuck at a scene, do you make yourself keep working on it so you stay in order? Or do you sort of jump to the next scene that interests you so you can keep up your momentum?
Adding some peoples… (also this might go through twice…)

Ummmmmm… *completely blanks* is both an answer? Sometimes it’s easy because I can think, oh, hey, how would I respond in this situation? But other times, it’s like, but I don’t like how I respond in this situation! And then I change it.

@nanisnook Aw, thanks for asking!!
That one is a side project that I turn to when my current WIP isn’t going that well 😂 I’m nearly finished with my current WIP though! As soon as it’s done, I’ll be working on Smoke and Mirrors full time!!
That’s great!! I’m glad you’re almost done with your current WIP, too.
Thank you!!!
