I love that series!! I reread it a while ago, and I got sad at the end even though I already knew what was going to happen XD. I like Heather and Small’s relationship. And I love all the fighting, especially with Helmer.

I don’t have a platform that large yet.😢 But I don’t normally like gritty or morbid stories … is your story particularly gritty? I don’t generally enjoy reading depressing things — of course, your story may not be depressing at all, I don’t know.

Which was your favorite book? Mine was always the first, but my siblings say that if I actually read (opposed to skimming so fast I miss half the scenes) Ember Falls that’ll change. I doubt it…

Anyway, my animals are complete animals in clothing that walk on two legs but often run (or lope) on four. I’m still figuring out how exactly armor and weaponry will work with this, but so far I haven’t had any real difficulties.

Hmm, forgiveness arcs…

First, huzzah for you book! Forgiveness is a powerful theme.

As for examples, I’ve heard that The Count of the Monte Cristo has an amazing forgiveness plot thingy, and Les Miserables has one too, if I’m not mistaken. Koshka already mentioned the others I can think of.

Thank you! I love some of those too, especially when it’s like Green Ember or Mistmantle Chronicles. These are physically just like normal animals here (besides the whole clothes, weapons thing), but are otherwise persons (if not human).

Our family has enjoyed this series immensely. Not only were the books great, but we were guessing things that were very close to the actual outcome. I just reread my response and realized it was pressent tense (English, *sigh*). My Dad went over to Spain for a several months to help a missionary family get settled, like close to twenty-five years ago, so something’s have probably changed. =] I have seen a bunch of pictures though, and seriously, those castles are beautiful.
