Elfwing replied to the topic What aspect of writing have you grown most with as a writer? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
@kathleenramm I have improved most in writing what I am wanting to portray.
What I mean is I actually complete the scenes for people to read. I sometimes forget readers are book readers, not mind readers! XD
I’ve definitely improved in fleshing charries out, or so people have told me.

Nothing, not even the creepy house in the woods, can dissuade Ly O’Dare from finishing this scavenger hunt. Where else can a broke seventeen-year-old get enough money to finance her art endeavors and start a business?
Even being snowed in with a sarcastic stranger isn’t too bad, and as long as he is helping her find the…[Read more]

@maryg3 I can relate to the uneventful childhood! I was homeschooled and we lived remote. like, the nearest city with a Costco was 6 hrs, and people think an hour is nothing to go visit each other. And we only had one vehicle that my dad drove to work, so the only real social interaction with people was Sundays and the occasional church potluck.…[Read more]

@keilah-h sounds neat, while not super unusual, but you could totally put a unique spin on it. Speaking of, this might just be a personal opinion, but all of the characters names sound incredibly flashy. . Just something ya might want to consider. If they’re supposed to be normal and stuff.

Just putting in my two cents. 🙂
I completely agree with Joy! I think it’d be awesome to have an area for those of us who are writing or planning to write Biblical fiction on the forum. If the moderators could make one, that would be amazing. 🙂

Of course! I hope my rambling was helpful. 🙂
That is so cool!!! And it’s so neat they’re Paul and Peter. XD We should totally make our own genre area! I’m sure there’ll be a lot we can talk about/discuss/bounce off/mourn/giggle about together. 😀

Agh, yes, I am a big GE fan! I do love the characters you mentioned, but my all-time favorite character is Helmer. HE IS THE BEST!!!! (I’m a big fan of crusty-and-tough-on-the-outside-but-soft-and-sweet-on-the-inside type characters). My favorite lines are pretty much anything Helmer says, but e…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I’ve never been to a waffle house at any time of day, so my imagination is doing a good job of creeping me out XD
And I totally know what you mean about the doppelganger thing!!! I know two people who are totally unrelated (well, we’re all human, so all related that way but you know what I mean) and they look and sound very similar,…[Read more]
