Not trying to take over this thing lol, but I figured I’d share this. It’s the first bit on a character I’ve been working on, kind of a mystery:
A freezing wind howled through the trees, piercing Elrin’s cloak and chilling him to the bone. With the thoughts circling through his mind, he hardly noticed the cold. He was a foreigner in a…[Read more]

@acancello Sometimes I do that, in a way.
@freedomwriter76 @godlyfantasy12 Crosshair and Feather it is, then!! Mike’s not gonna be happy but he needs to deal with it, lol.
And I just had another idea for another pair I could do once these two are done.
Mike: Is that everyone?
Crosshair: *steps out of the shadows with rifle raised, looking…[Read more]

Hmm….now I’m debating which character couple I should add in……
I have a lot besides Reed and Aurelia, but they’re all pretty hilarious to write.

Awww, thanks so much!!! 😊❤️ That’s really encouraging, because I strive to make my characters as real as possible! 😀
(And sometimes I act like my characters are real… 😐 My siblings think I’m crazy. 🤣)

Ok, ok, ok. I have to add in another couple. These two are from my WIP, but I’m going to pretend that they’ve known each other for the length of the trilogy. (Instead of where I’m at now, cuz that’s not long at all)
Skylar: What is this place? *…[Read more]

Cool idea!!
I’ll have to hop on here later and post something. 😀
I recently had to do a string-along story in school. Basically, the title is one word, then from there the sentences grow in length.
I just did one too!! Mine was so much shorter. XD It’s impressive that you made it that long! Great job!! 😄

This is a great idea! I love your description! 😃
I recently had to do a string-along story in school. Basically, the title is one word, then from there the sentences grow in length. I made it a short version of a WIP I worked on when I was in… third grade? 🤣
Anyway, here it is:

This is going to be fun!!!
Mike: Now for our next couple, Everdala.
Both: What?
Mike: I’ve been told that is your ship name.
Both: *blush*
Ami: Just call us by our names please. *smiles softly*
Mike: If you so desire, Amidala. *turns to a…[Read more]

I haven’t read that one, so I don’t know.
Pat is lively like Anne, but loves her home, Silver Bush, to a fault. To the point that if any suitors criticized it, she broke up with them. It goes about her adventures with her family, her hilarious Irish friend/servant Judy, and her friend, who’s nickname is Jingle. He’s awesome.
I also…[Read more]

I’m kinda late to this discussion, but I’d recommend anything written by ND Wilson. In particular:
- Ashtown Burial series (fantasy. my personal favorite)
- Outlaws of Time (an awesome mix of western, fantasy, and time travel)
- Boys of Blur (a fantasy/thriller(?) set in the sugar cane marshes of Florida)

Well, you’re just supposed to do four questions like I did. Sorry that wasn’t clear. And yes, I guess someone could just give their characters all the points so that they win, but that’d be… dumb. The point of this is to have fun writing our characters, not to earn points. I don’t think any of you will try to do that.
And you can d…[Read more]

Yes!! I never used to listen to any type of instrumental until I found the fantasy style instrumentals and fell in love with them. 😂 They will really put you in the mood and spark some great inspiration! But I really only use instrumental during writing sessions. Any other time, I like lyrics to sing along with 🙂

@acancello Yesss, the Little Women trilogy is the best! I actually thought Jo’s Boys was another name for Little Men the first time I saw it and didn’t pick it up because of that. XD I know I’m probably not supposed to ask this question, but I’m going to anyhow. 😇 Do you have a favorite of those three?
Also, have you ever read any of Jennifer…[Read more]

I wouldn’t say better; just different. Emily’s more serious and a tad prideful, but she still ends up getting into crazy situations, like Anne. Emily’s also a writer and idiot when it comes to love. Pat is one of my favorite; she’s a cross between Emily and Anne. Honestly, just read all of L.M. Montgomery. She’s amazing.
Also, I…[Read more]
