@acancello Ooh. . . it sounds vaguely familiar, but I don’t think I’ve read it. What’s it about?

Esther replied to the topic Alliterations?? in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years ago
Hmm…
Well, this is something that you’ve gotta be careful with. You could say that alliterative names is what their parents wanted, because I know some parents have a “theme”, if you will, for all their children’s names. (For example, me and my siblings all have Bible names [and so do my parents 😁])
So it all depends on what thei…[Read more]

@acancello Hmmm I would think that people say not to use it because perhaps if you have multiple characters with alliterated names, it would give the story a very fairytale-ish or imaginary world kind of feel and would be “unrealistic” if you know what I mean.
I agree with Esther tho, I think one name is fine and I like the sound of Sarah Shauna…[Read more]

Esther replied to the topic Alliterations?? in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years ago
Great question!!
But the answer solely depends on you and what you want for your story. I feel like the name Shauna Sarah Smith would stick in my mind if I read your story. The growling sound filled the cave, echoing off of the walls, as Piper led me into a large cavern.
Piper, the voice snarled. Who is this you have brought to my cave?
Piper winced, then tried to cover it up. “This is Griffin. He followed me through the door.”
Followed!? the voice snapped. It seemed to come from ev…[Read more]

I know we haven’t worked on this in a while, but here.
Piper was beginning to slow down, and I was glad for it. I hadn’t exactly prepared for a several mile trek. Still, even this confident girl was beginning to get fidgety as we neared our destination- wherever…[Read more]

Hey everyone!! This statement found at the bottom of the Community page, “inspired” me to make this thread:

What if we chose to break that record?? 😏 After all, 12 is such a small number. I think we could do it.
I’m not sure about the date or the time, but we would all hop on here a littl…[Read more]
