I remade some old collages and thought I’d post them here. I should make more for some other new characters, but these three are my absolute favorites lol <333333

Wait, seriously?? That’s so neat you got inspired that way!! Oh, same! Newton is the only character who hasn’t went through a thousand name swaps lol And no problem!
Yay, I’m so happy you are!! Oh, me too!! Hmm… let me see…
Caira has long, wavy blond hair (if you want, it can be braided at the back, like a waterfall braid). She has p…[Read more]

So this is one of my first attempts at sketching Newton. It’s about 90% accurate to how he looks in my head, but *shrug* this is just a first try. The poor boy needs a haircut, but he is homeless, so his appearance is a little rough. Tell me what y’all think! 🙂

So I draw illustrations every day in order to get better at it and I hope y’all don’t mind, but I now and them like using your guys’ characters as inspiration:) Anyhow, @gracie-j here is a fanart illustration for Rina:)

So just to let you know, I re-read these posts and you just gave me an absolutely fabulous idea for my characters that I never thought of before *rubs hands together with a mischievous laugh that my poor characters can’t hear*. Thanks so much!

Alexa Autorski replied to the topic I Feel Discouraged… in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years, 9 months ago
Abigail, those words literally spoke to my heart (I don’t care if that sounds weird, but it’s the absolute truth). That was such an encouragement to me!! I guess I just got so wrapped up in thinking that I was the only writer who ever struggled this badly, so I started doubting myself/my writing. But to hear that other people (and…[Read more]

@abigail-m Yeah, I really like Kaizy’s collage too for some reason! I think the yellow goes nicely with everything (plus it’s his favourite colour, lol). It’s definitely among my favourites that I’ve made. And I, too, am a HUGE fan of inventor/mechanical-type aesthetics. You know, when they’re kinda steampunk-y but not quite? I may have invented a…[Read more]

This poem is actually one on a whim, but anyway here it is:
InÂ
In the blizzard,
In the night,
In the lone warrior’s desperate flight,
In snow,
In the ice,
In the payment of a price,
In the hating,
In the living,
In the painful forgiving,
In the forest,
In the dark,
In the new known spark,
In the hurting,
In the healing,
In the mi…[Read more]

This is an awesome topic!
And an interesting one at that…
I suppose I’ll use Mejia (still working on a name) for this topic.
(Warning: I’m the queen of spoilers, so yes, just a warning:)In the prologue, Mejia is wandering blindly through a blizzard, due to the fact that she was recently abandoned twice for her fighting spirit.…[Read more]

EEEEEEK I LIKE COLLAGES SO MUCH! So I decided to make some collages symbolizing character relationships, so I did Caira/Deek and Caira/Newton. Hope y’all enjoy them! 🙂

I hope you don’t mind, but I went ahead and drew Newton. I originally started out with the intentions of drawing Deek, but Newton is one of my favorites. Anyhow, here he is!

Alexa Autorski replied to the topic You get to go out for lunch with your main character of choice: How would it go? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 9 months ago
Y’know, I have to say, going out for lunch with my heroine’s twin brother, Derrick, would be amazing (and scary at the same time). Deek (his nickname, because he hates his actual name) would probably decide to go to a casual, laid-back sort of place. He isn’t fancy at all. One of those cafes just on the corner of the street.
He’d come stridin…[Read more]

So this is a little random, but it’s a collage I made today of my book! I’m not settled on the title yet, but just recently I gave it the name of ‘Fortitude’, which I think is fitting. That’s sort of on the fence still, but for now, that’s what I have. Hope you guys like it! 🙂

Oh my flying flapjacks! We have some talented writers over here! *applaudes* Everyone’s writing is totally incredible! Very well done to all of you! First drafts can be both freedom and constriction at the same time. You’re free to write and make a mess because that’s what second drafts are for, bu…[Read more]

The Mountainous Forest
The forest. The mountain.
In this world and in this place, they were the same thing.Especially in the wintertime when the treetops looked like thick, cold clouds with tall brown sticks leading up and disappearing into them. The wind, though it didn’t blow often there, was bitterly cold. The air tasted… oh yes, you could…[Read more]

R.M. Archer replied to the topic What writing goals do you want to have achieved by this time next year? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 10 months ago
@abigail-m It depends on what stage you’re at. While I was working on my second draft, I had two author friends I trust read it as I went and give feedback, so they got it in more-or-less one-chapter chunks.
This next round I’m doing is specifically sensitivity readers so I can get feedback on the chronic illness representation and make sure I…[Read more]
