Very interesting! Is Kyrah different from Kirah?

(I actually asked this question earlier to Historian in the deceptive form of): Do we live on a potato, a donut, or a pringle?
(This is kind of a joke in topology and physics describing Euclidean and non Euclidean geometries, though that’s not all of them. I could also describe it entirely in donut form for fun, like a donut hole, a…[Read more]

Looking good! I don’t think your alluding to the idea of Brycen being one of the chosen here, other than the fact that the the story is told from the perspective of the other two chosen. And using the description of draconic for Tali would further increase suspicions that she’s the dragonborn, that being now two implied…[Read more]

Haha, lol! Yeah, It makes sense that Amara would be the dragonborn because of Jade, but it seemed very likely that you were alluding to Tali, because only dragons were seen, then suddenly a human, thus, that human must be draconic in some way. I think I would personally prefer the latter if I was writing this, but I think it…[Read more]

Interesting, I’m really liking this so far! So a few questions I feel are becoming relevant to the story as a whole:
Are the dragons inherently evil, or are they simply a corrupt nation? What is their motives in invading Illura?
I was going to ask about who the dragonborn was, but then reading through some previous messages, I…[Read more]

(No problem. Honestly I knew we’d differ here, (so maybe it’s my fault) especially in the question of whether or not Jesus is God, which is really important to me. I’d love to have a friendly discussion about it if you’re comfortable. If you’d rather not, I respect that too!) (AHHH. I almost forgot to put parenthesis around that. 😅…

Welcome to KP! I’m TheArcaneAxiom. I like math, searching for divine fundamental truth, and implementing that in my writing. I enjoy sci fi/fantasy and my WIP consists of a little bit of both.

I love it!!! I haven’t read WingFeather, nor have I ever gotten into fan-fiction, but I could tell why you wanted to give the context to the song, it’s very beautiful. I don’t really have any criticisms, but you mentioned realism, and I would say that this has far more of a romanticized vibe, but in a really good and emotionally…[Read more]

Do you purpose a different definition of reality? Is existing the state of being real, and reality is something that is real/actual? (Wow I’m really confusing myself here. 😅 So I don’t think reality is everything that is self aware, at least, that’s not how I look at it. Self awareness is different. If I am unconscious, I am not self a…

Ok, so on chapter 2:
Interesting, I don’t think I have any major critiques or anything on this one. As for Nia, I wouldn’t call her a villain, though she is a minor conflict. I don’t think she’s overboard at all, she’s just not a very likeable character currently, so if that’s what you were aiming for, I think you did great!…[Read more]

Thanks! I definitely was kind of experimenting with a lot of different things that I normally don’t do in my writing… Like prophecy, and more POVs than I’m used to. Throughout the next few chapters, more are added in, including the male POV. I think something I’ve also done is made a lot of the characters similar in persona…

(The definition of reality I’m using here is “the state of existing”. Just to be clear.) Perhaps there are two kinds of realities: the reality that has always been, (God), and the reality that He created, (time and space)? Did God create reality? Is God reality, since He has created everything and has always existed?
If reality is sim…[Read more]

Very intriguing! It captures a very classical fantasy vibe quickly with swords, prophecies… as well as dragons of course, I’m interested where you will take that. I will say that the pacing felt a little weird to me, not because your getting into it too quickly (I’m far worse with that), but because it felt like Kirah was too…[Read more]

Karci sounds very intriguing! It sounds like your really digging into the deeper political dynamics going on.

Your characters sound so sweet! Love the boards! That gives me a little more context for them in your writing I’ve read so far.
Yeah, I think that’s a good choice. It is the sad truth, but it’s a truth regardless. I think of Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender. We don’t know of any future redemption for her after the…[Read more]

(Ok I see what you mean. Curiosity seems more like a ‘wanting to know more’ for amusement, rather than a hunger or desire for deep knowledge. Although the former could just be because of a certain monkey I always think of whenever I hear the word curious. 😉 )

(Curiosity sums it up pretty well, in my opinion.) Do you think there’s something missing?
(Yeah, I think it’s a good summery. It feels like the word curiosity doesn’t give a complete connotation though.) I’m not sure, perhaps there are different degrees of what curiosity is? Does that stray from the heart of a question? (I would say t…[Read more]

It looks great! Thanks for sharing! I’ll totally listen to it if I get the time. 🙂
Can’t wait to discuss it if and when your able to tune in!
Sounds cool sadly if all goes well I will be in New York watching Sweeney Todd during that time. If there is a way to watch it later I might check it out.
No worries! Yeah, you’ll be able to watch it whenever you’re able! The link I gave, BYUtv, and YouTube are probably the best ways to watch it during and after the live sessions, so there’s many ways to watch it any time!
Unfortunately, our area just suffered a tornado, so I will not be able to watch it live, as we are helping with the damage. However, I will definitely watch it as soon as I am able. 🙂
Oh No! I hope everyone is ok, we’ll keep you and everyone else over there in our prayers!
Thank you so much! Unfortunately, three people died when the airport was destroyed, and our friend’s house was destroyed, but they are okay.
Oh no! I’ll be praying for you! ❤️
Thank you!!!
That’s so sad, It’s awesome that your able to serve them though, you’re in our prayers!
Ok, thanks for the invite! 🙂
I’m glad I’ve been able to edify and encourage you in your faith! 😀
You really have😀
Thanks for this resource! I will try to check this out when I have time. I’ve appreciated our discussions and have learned so much from them. Thank you for your willingness to listen and your thoughtful responses!
I’ve learned a lot too! The discussions we’ve had have been so fun and edifying. I can’t wait to talk more soon, and maybe discuss this when you get the chance to listen to it. I really loved Saturday 3rd session, and all of Sunday’s were amazing! Can’t wait to hear any thoughts!
I did watch through the first session and was struck by the inspiring speaking. Also the choir was amazing.
Yay! Which was your favorite speaker? I loved all of them, but I think Elder Eyring’s the most for the first session. Yeah, the tabernacle choir is beautiful, I think I take it for granted sometimes.
Maybe Mr. Stevenson? I appreciated how he wanted to do something more meaningful with his family for Easter.
@felicity
Yeah, I love Elder Stevenson!
