Glad you like it! It’s super weird how it went that direction without me even thinking about it lol. It started off underground the whole time, but the story was different for a long time. The plot I was first using Tauren had a twin brother who was sent out of the bunker to go to war, and Tauren was sent too, but more of too prove himself. Boy, things change. The end goal was to have Tauren wandering around in a city with his pet pigeon and guitar meeting all kinds of people from all kinds of places. I still really like travel/journeying stories, and I might do one again. It just slowly changed and became more like the city of ember, I mean it was my favorite book for a very long time. I think the initial story was a bit inspired by “Cry, the beloved country” (Good read btw! Bit of a slow middle though) which we read for school. Wow, it just occurred to me book two of my book is similar in quite a few ways too that one.

My MC’s dad. He sacrifices his life for his kid and his kid’s friends (the other MC’s). He is also a good guy turned bad guy.

I know. That emoji right there > 🥲 sums it up. I feel like happy crying whenever I think about it but I can never shed a tear. I can sometimes while watching tear-jerkers but never while reading books. Anybody else have that problem?
