The Cat
The Cat sniffed disdainfully at the rubble and wreckage. Disgusting. Can’t these Lilliputians keep anything clean around her? Her tail switched back and fore above her head like a happy Droth’s tail, flicking off ash as it landed. Her paws, soft and padded, made no noise on the charred flooring. They’re just like humans. That’s their problem. And no mice, either! How rude. The Cat held her head high and marched up some stairs, past some empty rooms (Who would want to stay in a castle without mice, anyway?), and right up to two figures, a boy and a girl.
They were staring down the hall after someone in a red dress who was fast retreating down the hall. The girl was holding a purple kitten who was in desperate need of a washing.
The Cat strolled in front of the pair, sat down, and began licking her paw, glancing from time to time at the kitten to see what would happen.

The Cat prefers it when people don’t know she is intelligent. Then she can surprise them by talking or something. She especially enjoys looking down on people (human or not), but she is definitely on the good side.
