Brian smiled. “With pleasure, Highness.” He turned back to the fake guard.
The fake guard was gone.
“Shhhhh!” I hushed. I pricked up my ears. There was a faint buzzing. “Look, a fly! It’s him!”
“What I wouldn’t give for a jar just about now,” growled Brian.
I lunged, trying to clap my hands around the pest, but I missed disgracefully. “Don’t let him get away!” I yelled, as I fell flat on my face. “And stop using that sword!”
“Where is she?” demanded the prince.
I lept to my feet. Brian began chasing the fly down the hall. “She’s back that way! Down the steps, main hall on the left!” I was about to start running after Brian and the fly, but then I got an idea. “Would either of you happen to have a glass jar about you?”

@beth-torres I have a cat named The Cat. She’s interesting. She was a human sometime long ago, and no one really knows her backstory. Your cat sounds cool. I think The Cat could watch Fire Face, but he basically spews fire when he’s happy, excited, angry, sad, scared, bored, and pretty much everything, so no matter what happens, make sure The Cat is aware of his ignition abilities. Lol.

With the directions given to him, Fennin shot like a bullet, running to his mother. He saw her,face paler than usual, lying on Nahim’s lap, gently cradled. He paid no attention to Nora or Kate, but was at his mother’s side. He talked to her gently in Lillening, and caressed her cheek with the back of his hand. She opened her eyes and smiled, whispering back.

Tren dug in the pouch on the side of his hip, taking out a small glass container in which was a butterfly. Releasing his prisoner with a muttered word of it being a good addition to his collection, he tossed the container and it’s lid to the person.
