Jeptune, engulfed in her sly plans, hang back at the edge of the smoke. She coughed. She hated smoke. She hated fire. Transforming herself into some strange water creature, she waded through the caous and sprayed the fire. She just wouldn’t stand having the fire about.

Nahim outstripped her and she soon lost sight of him.
Go left! said Bloodsong. No! I said left!
She heard the sounds of a fight ahead and let it guide her.
She turned a corner and saw Nahim trying to protect the Queen from an evil icy looking person.
Just then, Bloodsong screeched a warning and Kate instinctively threw herself to the side. Six knives streaked past her.
Not you again!
She spun around, slashing towards the man in the cloak. He obviously hadn’t expected her to react so quickly, and barely got his own sword in the way in time. Kate grabbed the floating sword and rammed it into the wall.
She threw herself forward furiously, punching him in the face.
Those knives are coming back! Bloodsong warned.
Kate didn’t move, but instead, reached for a gemstone at her waist. Her attacker looked on in confusion as red light swirled around her. Bloodsong screamed. The knives were almost there.
But Kate wasn’t. In the blink of an eye, she was on the other side of the hall. She heard her attacker scream as his own knives hit him.
Kate slashed for the ice woman’s head, taking advantage of her sudden appearance.
Nora
Kate appeared out of nowhere, slashing at the elf’s head. The elf, enraged, started singing some hideous song. Nora scrambled to her feet, readying her shield.
“Kate! Hide! She.’s going to use her magic!”

Angere heard a the cold voice of his sister echoing through the halls, he joined the song, his voice louder and even more hideous. Nahim looked at the Queen then him, before moving closer to the Queen, who still was on the floor, holding her broken arm.
He knew that song was dangerous.

“Nora! The ring!” Nahim screamed. He searched his mind quickly, Master Finra had taught him how to use some song magic as soon as the Master had heard Nahim’s singing voice as a child.
Master Dare had taught him the magic powers of dragon rings, like the one that was on Nora’s finger.
He had never had to use those resources until now, and he wished he had paide more attention back then.
He could barely grasp the tune now that Finra had taught him.

The protection stone set in place, Fennin rushed down the stairs again, almost tripping over his own feet. Coming out into the burning hallway, he joined the fight next to Tren.
